I am very pleased we have this years pay review behind us. Not that above or below inflation awards seem to be the point in question at least for our business. In my view awards should reflect individual and company performance but the whole "inflation sensation" seems to redefining this in people's mind. Not helped of course helped by headlines saying London MPs are getting a 7% rise. Do as I say not as I do! I think we will see our margins squeezed this year [stands aside for Mr Biggle I crack joke] but I dont see its all dooom and glooom.

Tomorrow I am interviewing a French lady and having reread her cv just now I can't thin
why on earth I wanted to interview her. In the evening we are having a company beer and curry night - a cheap and cheerful curry house for the night has been booked and I hope we get a good turn out. That way I can say its in lieu of next years pay rise
