Almost another year has gone and passed. Today is the day Dennis and I visited you one last time. You probably noticed this was one of the more ruff years of my life. Great joy but also great pain aind suffering. Much of the pain my fault but a lot of it caused by others as well. I'm still Christian but not by much sister!
This year I'll be leaving this figure as my gift to you. It's a Joseph Precious Moment. I picked this because Joseph is one of my favorite people in the O.T. What is amazing to me about Joseph is that he always kept believing in the vision God had for him. He let nobody tell him what he was suppose to be or do but held onto the dream got put into his heart.
Everytime I thought about giving up on my dream, there I was standing before your grave. In anger. In pain. Every once in while in *****. Wondering why on Earth my soul is so burden by others well-being. Everytime I went weary to your grave, I found the strength to push through the hard times. That why I want to give you the Joseph precious moment. There is no way on Earth you would have let me quit on myself. So I keep going. Keep pressing on toward the vision God has placed inside my heart..
I never fully got to thank you for everything you did for me. Never was the couragous type. I look forward to being able show my appreciation for you. Someday I will. Thanks for everything sister!

Being that this was my first time at Anime Expo, I didn't know what to expect. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be believe it or not. I had a lot of fun at Anime Expo just hanging out with my friends who love anime.
One of the more interesting parts about this convention were all the "Otaku" people attending. The typical Otaku is the guy in the picture. As you can tell, he probably is not the type of person that would be considered "kool" in most crowds. They smell kind of funny, socially not up to par, and they love watching anime.
I watched a lot of the popular anime that Otaku enjoy watching. Yes, they did have woman that have curves only a supermodel could have. The funny part about a lot of these anime's is the basic plot behind it. It all deals with being someone that saves the world from someone or something. Which made me think about all these Otaku people at this convention. They love the idea of being someone that helps others.
It made me think about how all these Otaku's could become Christians someday. That maybe they might become a real superhero and fight against the problems of our current society. Isn't it interesting to realize that Jesus picked the losers in society to become the foundation of the church? Maybe someday guys like the one in the picture I found will become the leaders of the Church.
The modern church is run the way any fortune 500 company is run. We pick the most talented, smartest, and most of the time best looking people to be the face of leadership. Don't believe me? Check you current leadership team and see who holds the power in your church.
Tony Campolo talked about how truth comes from the bottom up not the top down. He used the disciples as an example of truth coming form the bottom up. I am not discounting the intellectual Christians in our society today. We need the "Paul" types in the church. Being around all these outcast, anime obsessed awaken a part of soul. I can't explain exactly what I felt being around guys that looked like that for 5 days. It was hope that someday. Someday, these types of people will take Jesus to the masses.
In the mist of Laker loss. I remembered a story from a while back. This girl thought it was stupid that guys cared about sports so much. Her reasoning was why would you care about who wins or loses if they don't even know who you are. The guy's response was funny. "I care about sports for the same reason you care about people in movies that do not truly exist."
