| I'm posting again!
I know, it's pretty unbelievable. This weekend was a lot of fun, and filled with a ton of memories. Zack and Mol's wedding was Saturday, and I was priviledged to be apart of it. We had some great girl time on Friday and Saturday getting our nails and make up done. Now that I look back on it, it's so crazy that 2 of my good friends are now married...and it didn't even seem weird during the ceremony. I believe that this is a testament to my age...I'm not old, but definitely getting older. I know, "Duh," but to me it feels very profound.
I LOVE my new job! Central Arkansas Cheer is so much fun and the people I work with are really cool. Working part-time during the school year might be a challenge, but I will enjoy the moola, that's fo sure!
I'm really looking forward to school starting back and moving into my apartment. Stephen and I are going to the beach and getting back 2 days before school starts. I thought one last summer hoorah would be nice :)
There has been a lot on my mind lately. Basically, I'm really excited about what God's going to do in the near future. A little scared too, but hey, thus is life :)
"O Lord, I've heard so much about You, and I'm filled with awe by all of the amazing things You have done. In this time of our great need, begin again to help us has You have in years gone by. Show us Your power to save us...." Hab. 3:2
Stay cool y'all! | | |
| Ok, it's definitely been a while. I honestly haven't thought about xanga until Mrs. Butler said that she missed me not posting anymore. So, Mrs. B, this one is for you
Wow, I don't really want to do an overview of the past couple of months, jsut for space sake, but I'll hit the highlights, and maybe some lowlights too.
Guatemala was a life-changing experience for me. We left on June 4th and got back on the 11th. While this was not my first mission trip, it was my favorite for a bunch of different reasons: the people down there have such a grasp of what life is really about, they are so very excepting and humble(I LOVED the Guatemalans), I got to see some of God's gorgeous creation(this included hiking to the very top of a volcano and driving motorcycles around the countryside), and it was really awesome to get to do something like that with Stephen...it just meant more getting to share such an awesome experience with him. Well, if I could, I would post pics of the trip, but you would have to teach me how first :)
I feel like I either go to a wedding, or am in one every Saturday. I'm not really exagerating either, because there have only been 3 weekends this summer that I have not been participating in wedding festivities. What can I say? love must be in the air .
Stevo and I have had so much fun outside lately! I really wish I could tell about all of our outdoor adventures...but let me just say we have caught some really big fish. Again, you'll just have to take my word for it.
God has shown me that if I am not fully receiving my joy from His presence, then eventually whatever I am delighting in will fade. I know I've talked to several of my girlfriends who would say that relationships can become idols. But when Stephen and I totally put our focus on what the Lord is doing in and through us, there is such a freedom.
Hmm...what else...oh, Stephen's birthday is Wednesday! lol, I think I am even more excited than he is, but it is one day that I can show him how much he means to me and spoil him .
until next time...but please don't hold your breath.
| Wow, it's been forever! School's out, and spring's in full swing. I've been super busy with friends, work, weddings...and just trying to have a good time.
Sorry for the lack of updates, I honestly never get on here anymore other than just to comment on others' sites. Haha, you can expect another update mid July...if you are lucky ;o)
nah, I'll try to be a little more gabby on here than that. hope everyone is having an awesome break! Continue to live your lives abandoned to Christ alone.
