I miss Flagstaff!

So as many of you know, I went to Flagstaff over the Fourth of July weekend. I was originally just going up to visit with Chris and Elise, but AJ was able to get off of work to come up to Flagstaff as well. Hooray! Elise and I decided to plan a surprise date for Chris and AJ.

So we got all dressed up and told the boys that they had to get dressed up for our surprise date. AJ didn't have any nice clothes with him so everything he wore was Chris's clothes. (We were all shocked that it fit him)

Then Elise and I picked the boys up and went to a cute little Italian restaurant called Mamma Luisa's.

After the restaurant we went to the lookout where you can see all of Flagstaff. We took some pictures there...

After admiring the view, we went to Coldstone and then back to Chris's place to play some cards.

It was a fabulous trip and the weather was much nicer than it was here in Las Vegas. I miss Flagstaff SO much and I can't wait to go back!

Oh! And about my sunburn. Before our lovely date, we all decided to go on a walk with their dogs. Well we were out walking for a while and I of course got sunburned. No surprise there. The shirt that I was wearing did not hurt my sunburn. In fact, it felt way better on my sunburn than any of my other shirts.

The most HILARIOUS part of this entire story is when I went to develop these pictures.... When I was at Wal Mart trying to fix all of the red eye in the pictures, the computer thing kept focusing on my sunburn instead of my eyes; asking me if I wanted to reduce the red eye. I thought it was so funny! However it did get annoying after the hundreth time of moving the red eye box from my neck to my eyes.

Well long time no update for me.

A couple of weeks ago I drove four hours to see AJ at his Wild Land Firefighting cabin thingy. Because of the way I went I had to pay $25 dollars to go through Zion National Park!?!?!?!?!?!? Here are some pictures that I took. (I figured I better stop and take at least one picture since I paid $25 to drive through...)

So I drove four hours, stayed for four hours, and then drove home four more hours. I know, I am crazy. But I got to do some hiking and see where AJ is living and of course I got to see AJ so it was worth it.

In other updates...

I have just been babysitting my life away this summer. I babysit about 4 or 5 times a week and I will be traveling soon with some of the families. This summer I am going to Colorado, Georgia, San Fransisco, and Monterrey. Hopefully I will get to go up to Flagstaff as well. I miss school.

Grandparents are in town so I don't have a room right now. The Graduation is on Saturday and Sean refuses to write a speech. That will be interesting...

Here is what I have been doing lately.....

A couple of weeks ago AJ and Chris went out of town so AJ gave Elise and I his room key so that we could use his room to have a girls night. We ended up wearing all of AJ's clothes and we made some videos. Because those videos have now become blackmail, I will not be posting them.

My roommate uses up 99% of our fridge. But thankfully she let's me have a teenie tiny shelf. The shelf above the fruit that has string cheese and 3 water bottles is the only thing I own in our fridge. I can't even put stuff in the freezer because she has that jam packed too. Also, this picture was taken before she went food shopping and jam packed it full of more stuff. And... in order to take a water bottle out, I have to open the fruit drawer and hope the apples don't come marching out.

Everything else in here is hers.

I played in an indoor soccer team league and while I was playing in the playoffs, I got this pretty wound...

Today while I was doing the wash, I was going to put my sheets in the dryer and some kid was drying one single shirt. So I had to wait to dry my load of laundry because of one stupid shirt. That was annoying.

My new babysitting family had a new little baby boy; this is his birth announcement... Grayson Dean. Sorry that it is so hard to see.

Ok, so I think that is all that has been happening in my life so far. My parents are coming up to move me out on May 8th and I will be home for youth dinner theater. Yay!!

Grand Canyon and my Birthday!

My parents came up this weekend and AJ and I met them in the Grand Canyon for my birthday. Here are some pictures...

The Grand Canyon

The south rim

Oooo.....pretty!

Our journey down into the Grand Canyon.

These are the mules you could ride down into the Canyon. We didn't ride them though; we just took a picture next to one.

We started to get a little crazy after awhile.

My family and I were all wearing NAU stuff!!!!

How cute!

While we were at the Grand Canyon we hiked, camped, shopped, watched movies, played cards, and ate tons of food!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yummy!!!!!! Thanks mom! I had so much fun there, and I am glad my parents got to come up to see me on my birthday.

On my birthday night I threw myself a party. I surprised AJ, Chris, and Elise and drove them to one of my favorite places to eat! Then, we went to my soccer game and then we came back and I surprised them again with chocolate chocolate cake, Gelato, playing cards, and a postcard that I brought them back from the Grand Canyon. It was a blast!!!

My 4 AM Adventure

Well I had the most interesting night last night. This is how it went...

The fire alarm went off in my building at 4:15am.
Hundreds of residents put on slippers and jackets and piled outside.
The alarm was SO annoying!!!!!!
It was freezing outside.
We assumed that someone was smoking and set off the alarm.
We were wrong.
After standing outside for 20 minutes, 4 fire trucks pulled up.
We had to call some friends who didn't wake up and were still inside the building.
Fire fighters started entering the building with axes and hoses.
The police searched rooms.
If you were in the building you were fined $500.
It smelled gross!
They evacuated the whole building into other dorms. (My RA didn't even wake up)
Apparently there was a mattress on fire in the girls' wing on the third floor. Thank God for brick walls.
This wasn't even the worst part of the night.
I get a call at 4:45am from a friend. (One who should be sleeping since he doesn't live in our building.)
His car was stolen and found totaled on the side of the highway; 25 miles away from campus. (His new car)
His parents got a call from the police telling them that their son could be dead since they found his car totaled.
What a fun phone call that would be to receive.
Anyway, now he has to go to court and do all this other stuff because they actually have a suspect.
And I thought I was having a bad night.
We finally could go back into our rooms at 6am.
It still smells.

The end.
