  • whew...what a weekend!!

The twins that I had and placed for adoption almost 16 years ago came to visit us this weekend.  They brought their beautiful mother, Raye and her twin sister Faye.  We had a blast together!!!  We got up early Saturday to straighten the house a little for my jewelry party, then went to Ross to get me a mirror to hang in my entryway.  Then back to the house to get the food ready for 3pm...the time of the party.  Then went shopping again and didn't get back to the house until 9pm.  I was soooooooooo exhausted!!  Had to be at the church at 8am the next morning!!  After church we went to eat and then Raye, Faye and the boys left to go back to Mississippi.  Iwas going to take an afternoon nap, but decided I would just go to bed early!!  THAT didn't happen, but I did get some rest.

On Thursday this week, I head up to Arkansas for my son's graduation.  We will be ther from Thursday to Saturday.  Danae is going with me...she can't drive, yet, but at least she can keep me company.  Sunday we have a family reunion for Dom's mother's side of the family somwhere on a lake in Texas.....that is all I know.  I just hope MONDAY I can rest!!!

I just HAVE to share this photo with you.  This is Samuel, the younger twin (by 33 minutes...lol)  His school has a powder-puff football game, where the girls/cheerleaders played football and the boys were the cheerleaders and homecoming court.  Sam was nominated and pretty much he HAD to do it...lol  I sent the pic to my parents and they fell over laughing....cause he looks SOOOOOOOOOOOO much like ME when I was in high school!!! lol Picture 154

he's the one with the wig...lol

Here is a pic of both boys with my dad last summer.....

    HE LOVES YOU

Jesus prayed that we would know just how much our heavenly Father loves us. He loves us just as He loves Jesus!
    (ROMANS 5 : 8 TMB)

Order your thinking, your feelings, and your ideas according to God's Word, for you are a child of God and precious in His eyes. If you see yourself as the expression of the love of God, there are things you will not do and places you will not go. Say to yourself right now, I am a child of the King. I am royalty. I have a place at His table.

We do not serve God to gain His acceptance. We serve not out of duty but out of devotion. We are accepted, so we serve God. We do not follow Him in order to be loved. We are loved, so we follow Him.

LORD JESUS, THANK YOU FOR LOVING ME AND GIVING ME A PLACE OF HONOR AT YOUR TABLE. I WILL SERVE YOU OUT OF GRATITUDE BECAUSE YOU HAVE ACCEPTED ME INTO YOUR ETERNAL KINGDOM. AMEN.

    God Bless

  • How does your garden grow...

I am working in the office today and tomorrow covering for the dude that does our referral intake.  FUN FUN

Dom will be home tomorrow evening late....Raye and the twins will be here sometime tomorrow, too.  So tonight, Danae and I will go to Eddie's visitation.  The funeral is tomorrow, but I won't be able to attend, due to work.  Then she and I will go to the grocery store and then home to CLEAN....thankfully it's not that bad of a mess, just a few dishes and floors to vacuum...lol  Saturday at 3pm is my jewelry party...fun fun.

As you can tell, I don't have much to say today.....oh well.

    HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW?

Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me . . .out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
    (JOHN 7 : 37-38)

So many Christians are looking for the power of God, but you have a reservoir of power that has been poured into you, "For the Spirit are we all baptized into one body . . . and have been all made to drink into one Spirit" (1 Corinthians 12 : 13).

To start that power flowing, you must first prime the pump of your soul. You have the Holy Spirit within you, but His power must be primed through prayer, worship, and praise.

Once you release the power of God, it gushes like a river. "And thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not" (Isaiah 58:11).

Begin each day by priming your pump of Holy Ghost power, and the fruit of your spirit will flourish like that of a well-watered garden. Be a tree planted by living waters. Meditate on His Word day and night. Fill today with acts of kindness prompted by the Holy Spirit.

JESUS, I DESIRE TO LIVE THIS DAY IN YOUR POWER AND GRACE. I LONG TO HEAR YOUR VOICE, SEE YOUR FACE, AND BE AN INSTRUMENT OF YOUR GRACE. AMEN.

    God Bless

  • The overflow of your heart....

Thank you to everyone who has been praying for my friend Cheryl.  She had another surgery yesterday to remove more of her skull.  The swelling had gone down, but started swelling again.  The surgery lasted for about 6 to 7 hours.  The plan is to leave her skull open for awhile til they know for sure the swelling is gone.  She is still in very critical condition and needs a MIRACLE!!!

With all this going on, I forgot to let you know how my Darlin Danae blessed me on Mother's Day.  She took me Friday night and paid for me to have a pedicure...we got them together and had lots of fun.  Saturday we went shopping...which is NOT one of my fav things to do..lol.  But she bought me a new shirt, with earrings to match.  Sunday morning I woke up to a strange smell in the house....I went out to the living room and she was in the kitchen cooking for me!!  She made breakfast and coffee and had a gift on the table for me.  It was a toe ring with two matching ankle bracelets.  I love the fact that she is working, making money and likes to spend it!!!  hahaha  I wanted a new Bible and my sweet hubby bought me a new one and gave me the sweetest card I have ever read.  It will be one I hold on to forever.

Speaking of my sweet hubby, he is gone all week to Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie for ACTS.  Not sure what ACTS stands for, but it's competitions for Christian schools...kind of like UIL's.  He has been working with the kids on monologues, one act plays, duets and such and his group is competing tomorrow (Thursday).  He is doing so good and loving his teaching position.  I am so proud of him and proud to be his wife!!  What a wonderful man I have!!

    Peace, love and hair grease....

    The Overflow of Your Heart
    Today's Scripture
“For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks” (Matthew 12:34).

    Today's Word
Have you said something recently that you wish you hadn’t? The Bible says that your words reveal what’s going on inside of you. If you go around speaking negative words of defeat, putting others down, and complaining all the time, it’s a sign that you need to refocus your heart and mind. It’s a sign that your “overflow” is polluted. Our bodies work a lot like a computer. What you put on the hard drive of your heart will show up on the monitor of your mouth. The good news is that you can reprogram your mind the same way you can reprogram a computer. The Bible says that our minds are renewed—or reprogrammed—by the Word of God. The more you read and study His Word, the more it will transform you from the inside out. Start today by asking the Lord to reveal anything in your heart that needs changing. Make Him first place in your life. Fill your heart with the good treasure of God’s Word so that blessings come out of your mouth. Let the overflow of your heart be filled with faith and expectancy, and you’ll see God’s hand of blessing in every area of your life.

    A Prayer for Today
Father in heaven, I humbly come before You and ask that You cleanse my heart and mind of anything that isn’t pleasing to You. Fill me with Your faith, peace, joy, and love so that I can overflow with Your goodness today. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

  • please pray

A very dear friend of mine and her husband were in a motorcycle accident yesterday.  They were broadsided by a drunk driver in a pickup truck.  He fled the scene on foot and the police found him hiding behind a tree 200 ft away.  Cheryl was life flighted in critical condition to Memorial Hermann downtown Houston and Eddie was killed instantly.  Cheryl is 35, Eddie was 33 and they have two small boys.  Cheryl is an LVN that I worked with at another home health agency.  Cheryl will undergo surgery today to have part of her skull removed to release pressure on her brain.  She has not been told her husband has died.  Please be in prayer for this family.  We are all in shock over this whole ordeal.  I received a text message from her yesterday morning telling me happy mother's day.  I text'd her back and told her the same and that I love and miss her.  I could just kick myself for not calling her!!!

    Thanks for your prayers...

    BLESS THE LORD

Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
    (PSALM 103 : 20)

When the Word of the Lord goes forth you must decide immediately whether you will speak and walk in His Word or ignore it. At the moment of His Word, the Spirit discerns the intentions of your heart. God knows if you are going through the rigors of religiosity or if you are committed by faith and prayer to move out into the harvest.

This should be the declaration of your mouth:

I send forth the holy angels of God right now.

They are commissioned to minister on behalf of the heirs of salvation.

I am an heir of salvation.

I am washed in the blood of Christ.

    I am blood-bought, Holy Ghost-filled, and fire-baptized.

I am not waiting to get into the kingdom of God.

I am in the kingdom now, and the kingdom is on me.

Every day you can declare under the anointing of the Holy Spirit:

IN THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF THE WORD, I DECLARE THAT THE HOLY ANGELS GO FORTH AND BECOME REAPERS IN THE FIELDS WHICH ARE WHITE UNTO HARVEST. I BIND EVERY HINDERING SPIRIT IN MY LIFE. I RELEASE THE ANOINTING OF GOD WITH HIS ANGELIC HOSTS TO BRING IN MY HARVEST. AMEN.

    God Bless
