| Well, LC&EM have been separated for a whole semester & a half
almost! I've been down to visit emers @ Hillsdale twice. It's pretty
sweet. College is a lot of fun. I'm enjoying it. Brandon is graduating
this year. :o wow...time flies! Emers & I are getting close to
finishing freshman year of college! how crazy is that? I have a feeling
this is going to go faster than High school. crazy. Well, I've decided
to work @ camp barakel again this summer. this time as a counselor! i'm
pretty pumped. going up for the interview this weekend. gonna miss
hanging around here for summer again, but it's all good. well, take
care ppl!!!

| WOW! lol, i totally forgot about this thing! dang, it's been a long
time! well, a lot has changed! summer is over & it is October
already! EM has been @ Hillsdale for a while now & I've been @
LCC. Classes are good, for me @ least. I like my classes &
proffesors. It's quite a change from being home schooled in high
school, but so far so good. The college group @ south is pretty sweet
& I'm having fun getting to know ppl there! Ashlee & I have
been hanging out a lot more & we are going on fall retreat soon! EM
is coming home this weekend! I'm looking forward to that. We need some
quality LC&EM time! ;0) Today is EM's bday!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY

| Hanging with LC and EMLaura was home this weekend so I devised a genius plan: she would spend the night at my house Saturday and Sunday night and then I'd head over to her house and spend Monday night so that when she went to the bus stop at church the next day, I could just have someone pick me up! Yes, we spent an enormous amount of time together. But seeing that I probably won't see her until September (possibly)/November (for sure), we needed to do a little cramming.
Some highlights from the weekend:
On Saturday we decided to go to Meijer and return pop bottles (strange, I know...) and browse their electronic section. So I'm just about pulling in the parking lot when Laura asks "Did you bring the pop bottles?" Uhhhhh.... So it ended up being a shopping only excursion, but it turned out okay because I bought Pride & Prejudice ON SALE!!!!!! To make the day even better, we stopped at the movie rental store and got two movies for ONE DOLLAR!!!! Needless to say, we were pleased.
Sunday afternoon we took the pop bottles back and I got a whopping $6.50! I then bought a large bag of M&Ms for $2.50 and went to see Pirates 2 for $4.00 so my afternoon was paid for out of the proceeds of the pop bottles!!!
On Monday evening we took the tandem out for a joy ride. ; ) We looked retarded, but had a blast. We've decided that riding a tandem at dusk would be a romantic first date.
Laura also devised an evil plan over the weekend: "Elyse, someday I'm going to tell your boyfriend everything that you think is romantic and charge him so that I'll make a ton of money off of you." Can't you just see her saying that/doing that?? Only Laura...

| Funny Laundry Stories from LAURAStory No. 1:
One day Laura was doing the laundry. She accidentally forgot to take an ink pen out of the laundry machine. Needless to say, when the laundry was done, it had taken on a new hue.
Story No. 2:
One day Laura was doing the laundry again. Her friend asked her to wash her purple skirt with the delicates. So she puts it in, starts the machine up, and lets it do its thing. A little while later she checks the laundry and notices that the water is purple! She opens it up and sees that all the white shirts that were in there are now pink! Freaking out, she takes pure bleach and soaks all the white shirts in it for a couple hours (usually when you use bleach, you use a watered-down version, and you only soak it for a few minutes.) When she came back, the shirts were mostly white with only a hint of pink. Yay for thinking on her feet! | | |

Seriously, though, what has happened to Xanga? It's become so self-centered. Everyone is so focused on posting so that they get tons of comments, but they never read anyone else's posts or comment on any other Xangas.
This isn't a popularity show. Why is it that we have such a hard time being real - even on the computer?! | | |
