| Another Year OlderSo how does it feel to be another year older? People ask this and honestly, I am only one day older at 28 than I was on Jan. 10th at 27. What do they want me to say? I feel wiser and more mature? Okay, you can stop laughing now! That just isn't me. Not to say that I don't hope I am more mature than I was Thursday last week but come on. I guess you start to see how you have changed when you look back over a longer period of time. Wow! I think I have changed, at least I hope I have. Not only have I changed, but the things around me have. The way God's hand works is so incredible. I don't take enough time to stop and see it. I also don't see it right away. It takes time. I know, I know. That's what everything takes, time. But it does. I catch glimses of what God is doing but I don't really see and I don't even think I will totally see until Heaven. What is God doing in the lives of the people around me? What is God doing in my life? I am not sure but He is working. He is always working. I am so glad He doesn't stop working. So what did I do for my birthday? Well, we took the school kids bowling and to CiCi's pizza! Okay, that wasn't just for my birthday but it works. I bowled a 118! That is my best score ever! Okay, so I did use bumpers. I like Wii bowling better. When we got back to the school, there was a box on the porch. It had 2 dozen roses in it from my parents! The girls were all jealous. They are beautiful! After school Amy, Christina and I went to Sam's. Oh, yes, one of my favorite shopping places. We then met Mrs. Karen, Brother Ronnie, Charles, Phillip and Tim at O'Charleys for supper. That was great! We then went bowling again! I am TERRIBLE! I didn't use bumpers but I should have! We had a GREAT evening. Amy, Christina and I then went to Target and Wal-Mart. That was about the extent of my birthday. Please pray for us. We have several families of our school students going through some really rough times. There are also a couple of things on my heart. Sorry, can't and won't go into details but pray that God would show Himself strong like I know He is. We are going to be in Georgia this weekend for Eva's baby shower and that is going to be so much fun! Can't wait to see the Darbyshires! God bless and until next time... |
