| No Respect
There's no respect for Yao Ming. I'm not talking about the opposing team, the referee, or even the sport analyst. I'm talking about his own teammates. Last two possessions of the ball game and you're not even going to let your best player touch the ball? That's just messed up. The guy busted his ass..12 for 21 (57%) from the field..10 of 11 (91%) from the free throw line..9 rebs...5 blks..and you're going to deny him the ball? Would they have done this to T Mac? Hells no. They would get an earful from Tracy if he didn't at least touch the ball. What makes Yao different from T mac? Well, T mac is more vocal and would even show facially that he's not happy with their decision. Yao on the other hand is too nice and wouldn't do such things...so in a way they are taking advantage of him. Like taking advantage of a nice subsutitue teacher..these rockets player are getting away with murder. Do this kind of stuff on a team with Kobe, Lebron, Iverson, etc...and your butt would be traded.
The guy can't do it by himself. The only thing he's hasn't done since Tracy been hurt is running the point position. He needs some help. Luther Head and Rafer Alston looks good when Yao is passing them the ball. The game comes to them naturally. But for whatever reason..they like playing one on one. They like to "try" to beat their man off the dribble and create their own shot. News flash: You're not T Mac so stop trying to be like him. You are role player..so stick to what you know. I really don't get it. It's not like Yao doesn't pass them the ball back when they pass it to him...he does..and he does it better than any center in the NBA. Either they get a layup from it or a wide open 3 pointer. They actually do those passes for the first 3 quarters..but when it counts the most..they shy away from it. I just don't get it.
Honestly, we're never going to transcend to that next level of greatness as long as Rafer is the point guard for this team. The guy just make one bad decision after another..he's basically the better version of Moochie. You have one of the best player in the NBA...he's having a MVP type season....throw him the freaking ball. Give him the respect he deserve.

| Another typical sport update:
The Rockets really lack some basketball IQ.
First off, you can't have Rafer Alston taking 17 shots and expect to win the ball game. He's not a legitimate scorer. Another thing with Alston is that he needs to learn how to make point blank layups. He missed more layups than anybody in the league. That little running layup (wanna be tear drop) he does is embarassing. Go wach some tapes of Tony Parker please. With teams laying off of him because of Yao's presence in the middle he should have 6 or 7 easy layup every night. Go to the basket with some authority please and not just throw it up in the air and expect it to go in. It really annoys me cause that's weak...really weak. It's like he's scared of making physical contact so he just throw it up in the air before someone could touch him.
Second, if you're down by 10 with two minutes left and your only option is to jack up three pointers...then at least let someone that can shoot the 3 shoot it. They keep feeding it to Rafer instead of giving Novak a chance. The kid is known for making 3 pointers so get him in the game. It's not that hard of a concept.
- Other than Yao and Tracy no one can really create their own shot, so unless they pass you the ball...don't shoot it.
- Juwon shouldn't take any more shots.
- Van Gundy needs to lighten up and give Bonzi a chance...they desperately need that third option
The Rockets would do so much better if I was coaching the team.

Our chances are getting better each day. The pressure is now shifted to the Cardinals but we still need to win our last 5 games. The Dodgers are helping us indirectly by winning their games so the Padres still have something to play for. If it comes down to it...Barry Bond better play in the games versus the Cardinals.

 EntourageIf you haven't done so go watch this show on HBO or go get the series on DVD. But if you want to do neither just dowload season 1,2,3 on Bitcomet like me. It's the guy version of Sex in the City. Very funny and after you watch the first episode you will be addicted to it. The conversations between them are like conversation between a regular guy and his buddies..."Call a girl once and she doesn't call you back...relationship is over. If you call her more than once then you're pussy whipped. They have alot of funny quotes...nice car..hot girls....so go watch it already.
* I thought the Texans got Mario William to slow down Peyton Manning? 400 yards and 3 touchdowns...nice real nice.
