Hi! Tomorrow (Tues) I am going to N.C. to see Russell's wife Tawnya & their babie, Ruthie. I just pray that I can minister to her. She said that Russell is very depressed & won't even talk to his daughter on the phone, which he normally would. Oh, he's in Iraq again. For the third time. Well. I got to finish packing.

Well, Hi!! there everybody!!! Have you missed me? I'm on vacation for two weeks! I'm rather excited. I'm getting caught up on some cleaning & yard work. Thursday, I leave for Colorado. Then. on Sunday. Kay & I will be traveling to Mexico for a week. A friend of hers let her use her time share, & this is where we ended up.

I'm praying that this will be a time where we can draw closer to God & minister in His Name. I am truely grateful for God's provision in all things.

By the way, have I ever said what an awesome family that God has given me? They take care of me too.

Hi! anybody miss me? Kay's in town!!! I am so glad! What I'm really looking forward to is our family get tegether at Julie & Ron's house. Well, I've got to get ready for our Christmas Eve service & for tomorrow. Merry Christmas everybody!

PLease pray for David. His car was vandalized twice. These kids have on numerous occasions followed him, & try to run him off the road. Tonight, a group of them followed him again, & tried to run him off the road. He drove home & he told Claudia to get in the house. He was afraid for their safety. He called the cops & two of the guys were arrested. For tresspassing & I don't know what else. David & Claudia are pressing charges. Claudia is concerned someone will get seriously hurt one day.

I suppose somebody out there might be wondering why I haven't posted in a while. Well, My life is rather dull. Compared to other blogs that I read that is.

Anyway. Yesterday I got bit by a big dog while delivering mail. It was a boxer. (UGLY dog) It was contained behind a fence before someone opened it, & that crazy thing comes charging across the yard after me. I got bit about two times before it ran back home. I yelled at the owner to not go anywhere cuz her dog bit me & I was calling the police. I went back to my truck & sure enough, shortly after that, I saw the chick ride off in her van.

Well, that did not impress my manager nor the animal warden. (I forgot to mention that this was the second time the dog attacked me. The first time, back in April, the little darlin broke open the front door & came after me & nipped my ankle. It also bit another carrier one year before that.) My manager decided that no-one will be delivering mail to them as long as he is manager at this station. If they want to receive mail, they'll have to get a P.O. box.

The worst part of the whole ordeal ws getting a tetanus shot. It still hurts today. Ah well, Tylenol helps.

I just talked to Claudia about Russell. Please pray for him. Have your friends pray. He said that the situation over there is not good. He is so homesick. If anyone wants his address, I have it. If you have a scripture for him, we can give that to him too. Oooo. I forgot, he got promoted to Corporal!

Hi! It's Sunday evening, & I've really enjoyed my day off. I had a very blessed time at church, took a nap after lunch, did yard work, & talked to friends & family. Nice!

What I really request is that everyone pray for Russell. & have your friends pray too. I guess he is extremely homesick, & misses his wife and family. He was very glad when Claudia told him people were praying for him & asked for continued prayer for something that will be going on over there. I guess he couldn't be specific. We just need to be prayerful. He has horrible nightmares from things that he's experienced. I just pray God comforts & protects him & draws Russell to Himself.

I am so grateful for a loving & merciful heavenly Father that we can commune with, & Who knows our every circumstance.

P.S. I thought I'd change my picture. I didn't want some unknown person getting a wrong idea about this mail-lady!

I talked to Claudia today & she said Russell left for Iraq on Tuesday. He called her from Germany & is now in Kuwait. Please pray for him & his new wife Tanya. Russell told Claudia that he had a bad feeling about this tour of duty. I'm praying that he draws close to God.

I know it's been a long time since I've posted. Compared to the various Medlong's adventures, my life seems a bit boring.

Russell & his new wife Tanya just left. They leave Thursday for NC. Please pray for them as he prepares to go to Iraq.

I just want to thank everybody for coming over Sunday! It was a wonderful picnic & I was so blessed! I think I'll have another picnic later in the summer. Maybe when Nathan comes home?
