A
black man with a dangerous-sounding foreign name trounced his opponents
in the nearly all-white state of Iowa. And he did so because, after
spending months getting to know him, the people of Iowa stopped seeing
his color and began to admire his character."

what the tar! I never cared that Obama, i loved him from the beginning. You know why? He is young, smart, took on the Clinton name, rose 10% in favor for about 3 months after announcing his entrance into the Presidental race. I didn't like him because he is black, and i never disliked him because he is black. Why are Americans, espessially the press still making a big deal about this kind of thing.

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a
nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of
their character."

America! Lend me your ears! King's dream that each black child would have his character, not his color judged will not be complete are so accepting of that idea that we don't even think to sit back to comment on the success of a black person, because that thought, or the distinction that some are black and some are not, will not have entered our minds.

Speedy fingers

Test your speed, beat your score. Do you feel weak when you realize that you are deeply and truly loved by your friends? Are you filled with awe by your own ability to formulate thoughts, lift your hand or speak a word? Can you fill an afternoon simply wondering what that person is thinking? Praise God for the power, love, beauty, personality and never ending complexity of his creation and His promise of what is to come.

A drop from the bottle that is my mind

You Are Loved,

Luke

Ouch

I like handstands.

I like to participate in them frequently.

However,

They cause my back occasional periods of pain.

This is because I am not in shape, so my weight is not held up properly during said handstands.
Hmph

Thanks for listening
-Luke-

Sunday, July 22, 2007

I have fallen in love. I met with whom I would like to share the rest of my life with. She teaches me, and adds so much to my life. I am shocked I have never really taken the time to understand her more, for she has been around forever. Now that I have sought her out though, I am daily discovering her beauty and charm. God created every aspect of what is beautiful about her and there is so much. Many people have not appreciated her charm and character by simply ignoring her and mistreating her. Today I declare my love to Wisdom, she has many names, Liberty, Justice, and Truth. Perhaps one of God's most beautiful creations.
Friday, February 02, 2007

Is physical beauty determined by the eye of the beholder?

Sunday, December 03, 2006

Several studies have shown that
preborn babies as early as 20 weeks after fertilization experience
severe pain during the abortion procedure.

Federal
laws regulating animal welfare require that animals destined for
slaughter experience a pain-free death, but that law does not protect
preborn children from the remarkable pain they undergo in an abortion.
Cheers,
Luke

Wednesday, November 01, 2006

Taken from Psalm 88 - a psalm of the Sons of Korah (empthasis and exclamation added)

O Lord, the God who saves me, day and night I cry out before you. May my prayer come before you; turn your ear to myt cry. For my soul is full of trouble and my life draws near the grave

Your wrath lies heavily upon me; you have overwelmed me with all your waves. You have taken from me my closeest friends and have made me repulisve to them. I am confined and cannot escape; my eyes are dim with grief.

I call to you, O Lord, every day; I spread out my hands to you!

I cry to you for your help, O Lord; in the morning my prayer comes before you.

Your wrath has swept over me; your terrors have destroyed me.
