Some News

It's been a long time since our last post. We have been working, worrying, and hoping and now have some news for all who care about Leadership Now.

First news, the foundation that has so generously supported Leadership Now has offered a partial renewal of our grant. I will be writing the first draft of our grant request over the next few weeks. The grant will be for up to 600 K if the school agrees to raise money to match it. This leads to additional good news, the faculty, administration and trustees of LTS have all clearly stated in teh past few weeks that Leadership Now is an important part of the life of the seminary. Our advancement office (the fundraisers) have agreed that raising money for Leadership Now will be a priority for the next four years and will work to secure the matching funds for the grant - so Leadership Now will continue for the next four years.

Now other news, though the program will continue, I will no longer be the Director of Leadership Now.

I have accepted a tenure track position at another seminary. Though this is a tough decision, it is necessary for both my vocation as a teacher/scholar and the wisest use of Leadership Now resources. If you have any questions, write me. I will be involved with the Leadership Academy and SGE this summer, so there will be plenty of time to say goodbye. I want to thank all of you who have been involved in helping make this the best four years of my life. - Tim

tim im glad to hear that the program will continue but i am very sad to hear you will be leaving.  you have been one of my role models for 3 years. i have looked up to you since that walk on the beach of Iona and i feel like i would not be the person i am today without you.  thanks for all the great life changing experiences and for the opportunity to experience the world.  thank you for giving me the chance to grow in my faith and in my leadership skills.  also thank you for inviting me on the taize trip.  i am really looking forward to spending time in taize and also spending another 2 weeks with you and i cannot wait to here what wisdom you share with me on this trip.  may god bless  troy
