Back to Alaska

Well this beautiful land is quite finale of God's Masterpiece,

It has been the coldest summer on record, at least my record. the tempature has broken 70 once this year, the snow on the lower elavations melted only about 2 weeks ago, where as it should have been gone mid May. Lower elavations meaning 3000-5000 feet, here in Anchorage and Eagle River we are at Sea Level, so I'm mostly talking about the small mountains. Due to the very cold summer the Salmon season is extremly small and shorter, I have yet to catch a salmon which by now on an average year I've cuaght 10 or more. But my quest has shifted to Bear, a Black Bear is my prized possession before leaving for bootcamp, I want to kill a Grizzly Bear more, but the season for them won't be open until after I have left. However I did see about a 8-9 foot Grizzly Bear in the wild this year, walking the banks of a river in search for salmon, we were on an overpass just watching him roam, quite the sight!

I want you all to know how difficult it was leaving Texas, it seems I always leave a piece of my heart behind. There is not another place on this earth more beautiful than Alaska, but the friends I have left is much to be desired; yet for this broken man solitude is probably best for me now. 40 Days remain until I depart for bootcamp, and my life on my own begins once again, this time never to go back. I am not about to give up, the adventure has just begun, I fair thee well my friends, I'll keep you informed.

Listen to Toby Keith - American Soldier

Marine Corps

To all my friends and family.

I have joined the United States Marine Corps. They have me schedualed to leave to bootcamp August 18'th (which I may change to October), I will be going to San Diego California. May 20'th I will be leaving Webster Texas, and go to Illinois to visit Ryan and Heather, then May 27'th I will leave from Illinois and go to Anchorage Alaska, where I will be untill I leave for bootcamp. Please keep me in your prayers, bootcamp is 13 weeks long, and is by no means going to be a walk in the park. I will keep you guys updated as often as possable, but I certainly won't be online during bootcamp. Thank you all so very much for your support.

True Happiness

What to do with life, I'm struggling, why can't beeing happy or content be easy? what is true happiness? Answer me this question, I want your thoughts on this. We as humans struggle and struggle, and we say to ourselves everyday that the answer to our problems is God, we have to go to God, and if we do then everything will be ok. But days go by and you still do not pray nor do you pick up your Bible, and everyday you still say if I go to God he will fix my problems, but a year goes by and you havent touched your Bible you cant remember the last time you got up from bed to kneel down and pray, and your wondeirng why your life is messed up. Why why do we do this? Why don't I go to God? I know he can fix it I know he will, But why why don't I let him? Do you have this problem too?
