Evite.com, DCB, 50 pounds

Speaking of evite…

Just when I think all my Evite events will pass—another one appears…hee hee hee!

I <3 Evite.com :)

Anyhoo—and now for a more substantial update…

I can’t think of anything clever.

Oh well.

Oh wait—yes, David Crowder BAND concert.  Off the hook.  There’s something about their work that makes me…makes me…so HAPPY.

We did a hoe down—YEEEHAWWW!  I think my weirdness factor grew exponentially from Furry’s point of view.

David Crowder is way cool to the max of the maxest.  Playing the guitar hero geetar!  NICE.

One last thing…I was talking to my co-worker last week about booster car seats for children.  There is a very good law that is in place for the protection of children under 50 pounds (or it might be 40 pounds).  Basically, if you’re child is under a certain weight, they are required by law to sit in this booster car seat.  Once they reach a certain weight, then they can sit in the actual seat of a car.  If that law was in place when I was young, that means I would have been in that booster car seat until I was age 9 or something.  Anyhoo—there’s  a funny point—when I was 3 or 4 years old, my father would wrap the seatbelt around my lap and have me sit on the buckle flap rather than buckling it into the buckle.  I have no idea why he would do that but I would just sit on that buckle flap. Hahaha.  Makes no sense at all.

Praise God that he showed his grace to me and didn’t have me lose my life due to safety belt violation.  Now I can live to TESTIFY of his work of salvation in my life—that I am a sinner that stands in the path of God’s wrath and holiness.  And it is only through Christ that my sins can be forgiven and have eternal life with God.

Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin.

But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement,[i] through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus. Romans 3:19-26

The End.

memory lane through evite.com

my dearest and faithful Xanga readers and subscribers:

tonight was one of those...lets take some time to reminisce...actually it was more like...lets take some time to organize but some how it turned into a trip down memory lane.

i love blogs (xanga, wordpress), i love AIM/GCHAT, and recently i started appreciating facebook.

i love blogs-- because it's a great way to know the happenings of my close friends-- and since i have a blog of my own, it's a super great way of remembering specific times in my life and seeing specific petitions i've made come to fruition.  however, blogs are set apart from physical journals because of its ability to archive and its ability to go back to specific days, months and years at a click of a mouse button.

anyhoo, tonight i stumbled across, well not exactly, it was more a realization, that EVITe is a great way of remember things as well.  probably not one of the best ways of spending my time (neither is clicking and clicking and clicking through your facebook page), but i started clicking back through past evites.  it was weird looking at some of them-- remember these ones

11.17.01 Clariss "Carnage Asada" Surprise Cumpleanos Party! hosted by Pablo Manguy
07.03.02 Shelly and Tracy's Baptism hosted by Tracy Eng
05.16.03 Senior Graduation Partaaaaaaayyyy! hosted by Brian Pong
07.04.03 AACF SUMMER GATHERINGS #01 hosted by Frank Liao
02.25.04 Passion Preview hosted by Jonathan Lau
03.26.05 Miss Angella's Bridal Shower hosted by Beverly Kang
01.04.05 OU Sooners v. USC Trojans hosted by Daniel Lee
06.15.05 Central Flock BBQ hosted by Eugene Park
09.28.05 Andrew Ho's 25th Birthday hosted by Kevin Tse

we've probably been using evite now for almost 10 years.  i look at some of you-- and wellers-- we're all almost 10 years older. crazeee!!!! (instead of being 10, i am now 20-- hahaha!  jkjkjk!)

through scrolling through the evites-- you also see how much has changed.  we no longer have flocks, miss Angella is now mRs angella, jonathan lau is no longer in SD, the c/o of 2003 graduated 5 years ago, and Clariss is getting married.

the first evite i ever sent out was for my big brother Khai Yen Taing :)  it was for his 21st birthday-- dun dUN DUN!!!  hahaha! at Joe's Crab Shack.  the date 11.11.00.

i remember 11.11.00 like it was the back of my hand.  weird how evites can conjure up so many memories.

big brother Khai gets married next weekend. :) as i think back to that time i remember all the things he was going through-- and now, i can testify of so many answered prayers.  his desires have been properly aligned to the desires of God's heart.  it's all about perspective!  hahaha.  (what a play on words :))

i miss Xangaing!

being random,
LiL tO :)

PS-- i have been on xanga for approx 2000 days.
