hey it's been a while!  today is melissa's 17th birthday HAPPY BIRTHDAY MELISSA!!!! i was thinking about it and it's so weird... i've known melissa for 12 birthdays... 12!! that's nuts!! 

hrmm today i went into the city with nomi to get her haircut.  i got a red jacket at h&m.. my cousin would be proud!  we had lunch at jekyl and hyde's... okay sooo weird! but fun and worth it sort of haha... so we didnt realize that you arent just allowed in, you have to wait outside to be let in... we got like shoved out like uhh no u cant come in yet.  whoops.  so okay this guy come and gets us and he doesnt talk and you go into a room with no lights and watch a movie that is like "are you brave enough to come inside?? boo!"  and they guy was like 3 inches from nomi's face and his character wasnt allowed to talk... SO WEIRD. haha so we were seated... almost served drinks at the bar niiice.  one of the characters whispered boo! into my ear and i screamed b/c i didnt know he was coming... our waiter was nice... so they were starting a skit thingy and my mom called...and you're not supposed to be on your cell phone... so one of the actors was going to take my phone ahhh! but i shut it and they left me alone.  so then the "mad doctor" was like running around during his skit...and he rubbed his hands through my hair quite vigorously... VERY VERY WEIRD!!!  and then the shivers guy.. the one from the beginning who couldnt talk... came and took my cell phone and made fun of the picture on the screen... and then he did a trick where he balanced a feather duster on his nose.. so i gave him a high five.  it was an interesting time haha! 

so then we somehow got onto this bus.. that we had no business being on b/c it was packed, allowing us, in turn to make the 3:15 bus home from port authority... which we had no business being on because it was STANDING ROOM ONLY left by the time we got there. EW! the poor ppl that i kept falling on when the bus turned... oh well i had to stand the whole time so eff them. 

so then i went back to nomi's and she taught me how to play the piano part in something corporate's hurricane... the part right before (you dont do it on purpose)...  i'm getting better... i get really frustrated when i mess up.. and then i cant get back after the mistake.. i have to start over... then nomi taught me some stuff about the piano in general... like where middle c is and what the rest of the keys are haha... and then i sat down and i could read most of the intro to "good news" by myself.. nomi showed me how it translated onto the piano... and then i was actually reading and playing!  i didnt know i knew how to read music.  go figure!  nomi is nuts tho... she played me konstantine in its entirety.  it boggles our minds to hear it.  i need a piano... b/c now there's an itch inside me... i'm capable of recreating it... nomi even more so... it feels good

then i came home and started to make dinner... and then melissa called me and she, courtney and i went to go see hitch... SUCH AN AWESOMELY FUNNY MOVIE GO SEE IT THIS INSTANT... it was adorable.. laugh out loud funny... so sweet... and tasteful... like it wasnt rampant with sexual humor.. it was just funny and i appreciate that. 

blah okay i'm going to bed... i can only imagine what the rest of this day will hold...

xanga is so out.  blah but i wouldnt write anything really on myspace... idk myspace is really weird. 

so i talked to my aunt on the phone the other day... she calls to talk to me lol not my mom or anyone else.  she only has boys and boys are icky so yeah she has to call her niece.  i cant believe how much i love her... she made me tell her every single detail about the soco concert.... she would just sigh... in a sort of jealous "i want to live vacariously through you" sort of way.  we talked about how she used to go down to the stone pony or to cbgb's and how much she loved like the intimate concert experience.... she saw springsteen at giants stadium and said it was awful... so not the right way to see music.  sheesh she's cool... i sent her a link to my pictures... i was so excited that she was excited. 

blah... i just watched tv 36 and for senior bowling, let's be pirates!!! argghhh!!!  i call the eyepatch!

yo ho yo ho a pirate's life for me

so grin and bear it.. because here i go again... THIS ISNT ABOUT YOU... read, comment, appreciate.... or dont.. no strings... this is purely to chronicle my life so i can look back on a night that i never want to forget. 

so nomi and i got to starland ballroom... i swear to God it's about two miles east of THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE! so we left and got pizza with my dad and then he dropped us off at around 3:30.  we got in line.. there were about 50 kids there already.  smoking guy with video camera stood behind us.  don't even get me started but starland said on 3 separate occasions that cameras were not permitted... and i dont think that there was a single person there without a digital camera.. i was too scared to bring mine haha.  so we stood.. and froze.. and waited.  i was pretty psyched b/c i was going to see some of the kick ass ppl who i had talked to prior to going to the show yay!  hmm so i dont know what time... but Alexis, Alexis, Mary, and Steph showed up... and i knew it was Alexis.. but i didnt really know.. so i kind of quietly called her name... AND IT WAS HER! so then she and all of her friends came and hung out with nomi and me and we had an awesome time!!!! they tried to get in to see soco... failed attempt... we talked about our previous experiences.. they gave us letters to give to the band very cute... i gave andrew two of them but i forgot one that was still in my pants... i'd publish it but i'd need permission first.. it's the sweetest thing ever!  okie so then rach and christina showed up thank goodness we got to see them before we went innn!  they were decked out cute style.  so then at like 5:15 this big dude came around and started calling for the meet and greet so nomi and i hightailed it out of there and got in line with these 3 cool girls... people are suprisingly nice if you find the right type.  so we checked in and they told us to go into this room.  so then we're all just standing there, and then i was like.. NOMI LOOK IT'S BRIAN.. LOOK IT'S JOSH... LOOK IT'S EVERYONE!  so something corporate came in and they all shook our hands and introduced themselves, as if we didnt know who they were.  they said stuff like.. wow this is the best turn out ever!... haha... we got andrew to sign our cd jackets first... he apologized for the soundcheck going on in the background because he likes to actually talk during these things.  it was okay because it was the academy is... so i heard seasons twice in one night i lovvvvve that!  so then we talked to josh... he signed our cd jackets and then we talked about how the last time we saw him his hair was pink.... he was "omg right! in philly!"  haha.  we took a pic and moved onto clutch... whose knee is messed up... he said it was actually feeling the best it ever has... he has a cool cane tho... we took pics and he signed our cd jackets.  then we ran back into andrew... idk this might be out of order sry... so i said something about my shirt... and asked him if he wanted to read it so i turned around and he read some of the lyrics and moved my hair to read.. eee... he kept thanking us for making them and complimenting them God that was nice.  so then i said something like "so since you agreed to do the gasp face last time i made a shirt i think you should do it again..." and he was like of course!  it came out nicely as perhaps you may have seen.  0o0o so i knew about this bob dylan compilation that something corporate is contributing to.. so i asked andrew about it and he told me that he's doing 'just like a woman' (which i already knew).. and then nomi and i conveniently added that we had just listened to it in the car... and he was like "i lovvvvvve that song" then we went over to brian and asked him to sign/take pics... and then i mentioned that i still have the sharpie that he threw out his car window... and he was like.. "wait what?" and we re-explained with slightly more details and he was like "omg now i remember! i know exactly what you're talking about, but for a second i thought you were saying that i littered.. and i dont do that.. i'm the kind of person that chases down people in my car if i see them litter."  my mom loves that boy.  what a character.  so then group pictures were organized... NICENESS so i took mine and as i walked away they all rubbed my back sweetnessss omg... and they said in unison "thanks for making the shirt" and i was all like not a problem!  eeee... and nomi got hers and turned to say bye to all of them and LEANED IN AND TOOK THE HUG FROM ANDREW SCOORRRRE!  she came back and i was dumbfounded and a few minutes later i was just like... "wait... did you just hug andrew?"... and she was like "yeah!!!".. haha so they were all leaving and no way i wasnt hugging that boy... so i ran up and went for it and he turned his face into mine and said "thanks again, sweetie, take care of yourself okay?"  in my ear... best hug of my life... so then we were just like.. wow.. now we're on our own.. 15 mins before doors open... EFFING ON THE BAR FRONT CENTER B!TCH we saw rachel and christina.. with their new friend scott coming back from the bathroom or something haha

so the academy is...  is so awesome.. the lead singer is a trip and a  half... he has perfected his stage persona... i felt bad that i only knew the words to like 2 of their songs... cuz he was def giving us major love.  so when hipv came on that's when the major pressing started and crowd surfing got wild... so at one point there was a crowd surfer going over my head and a giant security guard in my face so i had no idea what was going on... so after the guard got off of me.. i was like hmm.. wow.. someone's holding my hand and they are very sweaty.  i took a gander and hmm it was the lead singer of hipv leaning on nomi's head and into the crowd and holding my hand for support... quite an experience!  hmmm so at about 9 something corporate got it started... during every fast song a million crowd surfers would come.. and during every slow song none would.  and the security guards would make fun of the songs and i wanted to kill them... and i tried to call michal to let her hear a song and they shut my phone those creeps.  omg scariest thing ever i saw i girl come out completely passed out... yikes.  so okay i'm going to attempt a set list... i think i have everything.. but i def don't know the order

only ashes, i woke up in a car, cavanaugh park, 21 and invincible, fall, she paints me blue, watch the sky, me and the moon, i want to save you, if yoU C jordan, konstantine, punk rock princess, down, space, hurricane

what an amazing amazing set... andrew said they were trying to play stuff that not everyone has heard them play live... they did a ballad version of i want to save you... i cried during watch the sky i was so happy they played it.  during konstantine, when he adds in the part before konstantine came walking down the stairs, andrew sat down on the speaker directly in front of me and nomi and literally sang the song 3 feet from our faces.  i cried like you wouldnt believe.  completely in awe... so during hurricane it was all like yayy memories.. and we saw mary crowd surfing! ahh!! and then andrew, who generally does not reach out for anyone during the show.. just as a rule so no jealousy/unfairness issues.... reached out and took my hand nomi's hand... and some of the girls' hands around us from the fan klub to thank us... what a show... omg... the worst pressing ever... the best experience ever... we found rachel and christina after the show... i drank the warmest soda ever in my life... it was like 110 degrees i swear.  we saw mary, alexis, and steph too... i got 2 shirts and poster... it was nice... me happy.. yayy funn.. okay i cant believe you read this go to sleep!
