I'm...lost. After the dance, everything when haywire.
I was dancing with Everan, when I spotted this guy, he was watching us. I couldn't see his face.
"Everan, don't look, there's a strange guy watching us."
Everan seemed in shock.
"Follow my lead" he said, as he guided me to the back door. As we exited, I asked him "What's going on?"
"Look, what ever you do, don't go wandering around by yourself, okay; don't go out when it gets dark."
The door opened.
Everan covered my mouth while backing up to the wall.We saw a long shadow, peering over the school gates. He was coming our way. Everan trussed my shoulder. "Come on!"
The man must of spotted us while we ran because I could hear him cursing. We turned a corner, the man tried to throw something at us. Everan jumped over it, but I tripped.
"Ah!" I yelled as my blood began gushing out of my knee uncontrollably. I couldn't move my legs fast enough, so Everan placed me on his back, "Grab on!" he yelled. We hid in a wood, not far from the neighborhood lake.
"Are you okay?" asked Everan as he looked at my busted up leg.
"Yeah, just a ..cut" I answered as I examined my leg.
"Kailee.."
"Hm-"
Our eyes met; and.........
It was for about....10 seconds, because of an interference....
"Gotchya!"
"Ah!"
"Kailee!"
"Everan! Let go of me you-"
I absorbed some of the water in his body.
"Kailee, run. I'll handle this!"
"Everan, I can help you-"
"No, go! Your hurt enough already."
He was right, the man slashed me on my side while attacking.
"Just go!"
So, here I am, just waiting for the pain to go away, just hiding like a hermit. I won't let it end this way... |
