Jacob did great with getting tubes in his ears yesterday.  He was quite fussy when he woke up from the anesthesia, but after 20 minutes, i got him settle down and he has been doing great since.  You can't even tell there was anything done to him. Right now he's making a mess of his toys in his pen.  I think the hardest part about all of this is putting the drops in his ears.  It was a bit tricky to do last night, but i had a lot more luck this morning.  He's a difficult child to give medicine to, or to look in his ears he throws a fit. 

I started eating healthier and exercising.  I walked yesterday, and i walked 2.75 miles today.  I've lost 10 lbs so far, but i've got a LOOOOOOng way to go.  Anessa wants to have her birthday party at the pool this summer, so i have to loose the weight by then.  luckily her b.day is August 24th, so i've got plenty of time to work it off!

A lot of other things in my life are hell right now, but i just have to keep reminding myself that tomorrow is another day and nothing that's happening is the end of the world...

Dad, daughters die following crash

LIME SPRINGS, Iowa A baby who survived a pickup truck accident that killed her father and her sister near Lime Spring in northeast Iowa earlier this week has died. The accident wasn't discovered for nearly six hours. The Howard County sheriff's office says 30-year-old Carl Leff and his two-year-old daughter, Hannah, died at the scene. But his eighth-month-old daughter, Katelin, survived the crash, which happened early Wednesday. Officials say Leff's truck hit a bridge railing, went airborne and rolled into a creek. A nearby property owner discovered the wreck and called authorities. A family spokesman says Katelin was taken to a Minnesota hospital and appeared to be improving when she died yesterday. Leff's wife, Crystal, was at work the night before the accident. When she came home, she began searching for her family.
