this past week has been midterm week. i took an organic chemistry test on wednesday, biology and sociology test on thursday. i mostly studied for organic chemistry, since it is the hardest subject out of all three of them. there were three chapters-4,5,6. i thought 6 was the hardest chapter, but we mostly spent time on chapter 4 and 5. i studied mostly 4 and 5 and knew the basics about chapter 6. however, on the test the there were so many chapter 6 questions....i felt soo scared. after that horrible orgo exam, i studied for sociology for about 4 hours and then i studied for bio for about 8 hours. this was not enough time for both. i failed 2 tests in a row. that never happened before. and literally failed. not kidding. omg. i am failing soo baddly!!!!!!! ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!! what do i do??? should i stop my med track???? should i do something else???? ahh!!!!

It is my sophomore year in college and I have a job in the Main Library Sinc Site. This is my first job of my life, so I am pretty excited. This week was a 3 day school week and on Thursday and Friday, we had no classes because of Rosh Hashanah. I had to work these 2 days and on Wednesday, I worked 5 hours. Working 5 hours was pretty tough, but it was good helping people. On Thurs. and Fri., the sinc site has been really empty. My shift from 7:30-8:30pm on Thursday was my funnest shift so far. There weren't that many people in the sinc site, so it was pretty laid back. Then, our supervisor put up a crossword puzzle we had to do about our training during the summer. All of the consultants working with me worked together and finished the puzzle. It was a really cool experience how we all worked together and got something accomplished. Thanks David, Ken, and the two Michaels. .

handwriting analysis

The results of your analysis say:

You plan ahead, and are interested in beauty, design, outward appearance, and symmetry.
You are a social person who likes to talk and meet others.
You are diplomatic, objective, and live in the present.
You are not very reserved, impatient, self-confident and fond of action.
You enjoy life in your own way and do not depend on the opinions of others.

wow. I haven't updated my xanga for a really really really long time. How is everyone doing in college? There is one song that describes how I feel right now and that isn't a good feeling.

Welcome To My Life-Simple Plan

Do you ever feel like breaking down?
Do you ever feel out of place?
Like somehow you just don't belong
And no one understands you
Do you ever wanna runaway?
Do you lock yourself in your room?
With the radio on turned up so loud
That no one hears you screaming

No you don't know what it's like
When nothing feels all right
You don't know what it's like
To be like me

To be hurt
To feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
And no one's there to save you
No you don't know what it's like
Welcome to my life

Do you wanna be somebody else?
Are you sick of feeling so left out?
Are you desperate to find something more?
Before your life is over
Are you stuck inside a world you hate?
Are you sick of everyone around?
With their big fake smiles and stupid lies
While deep inside you're bleeding

No you don't know what it's like
When nothing feels all right
You don't know what it's like
To be like me

To be hurt
To feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
And no one's there to save you
No you don't know what it's like
Welcome to my life

No one ever lied straight to your face
No one ever stabbed you in the back
You might think I'm happy but I'm not gonna be okay
Everybody always gave you what you wanted
Never had to work it was always there
You don't know what it's like, what it's like

To be hurt
To feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
And no one's there to save you
No you don't know what it's like (what it's like)

To be hurt
To feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
And no one's there to save you
No you don't know what it's like
Welcome to my life
Welcome to my life
Welcome to my life

This is my poconos entry. Read it if you want to and leave a comment if you do. Thank you and enjoy!!

7/17/06

The day started with Jennifer Tam and I walking to Peggy’s house at 8:20am. When we got there, only Jeffrey Liu was there. Peggy Wu wasn’t even ready yet and this was her house. Then, Titus Samuels came, then Kevin Lee, and then Karmun Tang. I was in the car with Kevin, Titus, and Titus’s mom. Jeff drove Jennifer, Karmun, and Peggy. On the way, we made a rest stop at a mall. Some of the stores were Dunkin Donuts, Borders, Coldstone, Sears, and Macys. It took about two hours to get to Shawnee Village and we all were very excited. On the outside, there was a mini golf course and once you walk through the doors, it smelled like chlorine. The recreation center was really big and there are so many activities to do. Titus’s mom checked us in and we walked around the center and then we went to the cabin. In the cabin, there were two showers, two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a living room. It was really big and really nice. Our cabin is RT-124. The first event we did was shuffleboard. Shuffleboard is a game where you use a stick and hit the pucks onto numbers. You want all the numbers to add up to 21 or greater. Jeff and I were partners and we beat our first opponents by landing on 8, 8, and 7. Kevin and Titus, and Titus’s mom and Karmun beat their first opponents. In the second round, Jeff and I were against Kevin and Titus. Unfortunaly, we lost to them. In the third round, it was Kevin and Titus vs. Titus’s mom and Karmun. Kevin and Titus won first place and got t-shirts. We had dinner at 4:30pm and we ate chicken, mashed potatoes, rice, and salad. After dinner, I went grocery shopping with Titus’s mom. We bought breakfast for the next day. There were sausage patties, potato tots, cheese, ham, bread, chips, cake, ice cream, and butter. We bought cake to celebrate Peggy and Titus’s birthday. Peggy’s birthday was July 13 and Titus’s birthday is July 28. Karmun and Jenn signed up for karaoke and I told them that I would like to join them. We sang, “I Want It That A Way” by Backstreet Boys. Then, Jennifer, Peggy, Jeff, and Karmun went into the pool. I was watching their stuff along with Kevin and Titus. We then rented the ping pong equipment and we played. First, it was Peggy vs. me, then it was Peggy and Jennifer vs. Kevin and Karmun, and then it was Peggy and I vs. Kevin and Karmun. We didn’t keep score, because we just played. Then, we paid $6.00 for mini golfing. I had an orange ball, because Peggy stole the pink one I wanted. The order we went in was Titus’s mom, Jeff, Titus, me, Jennifer, Kevin, Peggy, and then Karmun. There were many mosquitoes and they were biting us. In total there were 18 holes and the 19th one is to give back the ball. After the 10th hole, we all started to itch a lot and started to not have the patience to golf. After we were done, we all ran into the car and raced for the showers. The order was: Peggy, Karmun, Jeff, Kevin, me, Titus, Jenn, and then Titus’s mom. After that, we watched “Click” with Adam Sandler. We didn’t sleep till around 1:30am.

7/18/06

Today I woke up at 6:50am, because I needed to take a shower and get ready to go horseback riding. Jennifer, Titus’s mom, and I were the only ones going horseback riding. It was a caravan to the Pocono Adventures Stables, which means that several cars follow each other to reach the destination. The horseback riding costs $18.00. I had a horse named Jenny, Titus’s mom had a horse named Frances, and Jenn had a horse named Sally. Our horses kept on eating the grass, so we needed to pull the rope for it to stop. Also, Sally was being mean to my horse and scared her. The trail ride was about 45 minutes and they taught us how to ride the horses. For example, if you go uphill, then you have to lean forward and if you go downhill, then you have to lean back. Horseback riding was pretty fun and a new experience for me. My mom said that I rode a horse when I was younger, but I don’t remember that and I was with a guide. This time I was on the horse myself. We went back to the cabin around 11:00am and everyone was still in the cabin. Then, we decided to split up. Peggy, Kevin, Titus, and Titus’s mom would go back to the recreation center and do the activities there and Jennifer, Karmun, Jeff, and I would go water rafting. Water rafting costs $26.00. We paddled past three islands and we swam around in the water too. Then, we went back to the cabin and changed into dry clothes. After that, we went to the recreation center and played volleyball in the gym. We met up with the other group and they were playing games in the arcade room. In the beginning of volleyball, it was a lot of fun, but then a man kept on jumping in front of the ball and I never had a chance of hitting the ball. I was really mad and I was really sad too. But, everyone cheered me up again. Kevin and Titus’s team won and were undefeated. Then, we went to Piezon’s, a pizza parlor and restaurant. I had a cheese steak hot hoagie, which is really a cheese steak sandwich with chips on the side. It tasted really good, but I couldn’t finish it. So, Titus and Kevin finished the other half in the cabin. We were supposed to go play bingo, but we didn’t feel like it and were too tired. We played Texas Holdem Poker, but I lost all my money (chips). Also, Peggy was really high that day. She was very crazy and doing some weird things, like dancing with butter. Peggy and Titus were planning to put butter on Jeff’s face and eyeliner, but when they were about to he woke up. LoL. We then watched and sang the songs to “Mulan” and started watching “Mulan II”, but we didn’t finish it. We then let the guys sleep and we watched a little more television in our room with Titus. About 1:30am, we went to sleep.

7/19/06

Today is the last day in the poconos. I woke up at 6am and I woke up Titus’s mom at 7am. We needed to clean the kitchen up, take out the garbage, pack our bags, and remove the sheets from the beds. We had to make it look like it is a brand new cabin. While we were waiting, we decided to play air hockey. I went against Karmun and I beat her by two points (7 to 5) and Peggy beat Jenn by 7 points, 7 to 0 (pretty pathetic, Jenn). At 10am, we went to play catch phrase and it is a really fun game. You get this device with words in it and you have to make your teammates guess the word by giving clues. Titus, Karmun, and I were on the same team. Jenn, Peggy, and Jeff were on the same team. My team won by two points. Kevin and Titus’s mom went fishing. Kevin caught three fishes and Titus’s mom caught two fishes. We also played scooter hockey. It was the red team vs. the blue team. Jeff, Jenn, and other people were on the yellow team. Titus, Peggy, Karmun, and I were on the blue team. The yellow team won. Then, it was the Ping Pong Tournament. Peggy lost against a man, 18 to 21. Kevin and Titus were against each other, but Kevin won. We wanted to eat lunch before the Thai Restaurant closed, so we needed to leave. Kevin couldn’t go to the next round. At the Thai Restaurant, we ordered our dishes and it tasted good. After that, we started our journey back to New York. Everyone in our car slept, but in the other car, Jenn and Karmun were awake and talking. We encountered some traffic, but it passed. When I saw Douglaston, I felt very happy! In my head, I was thinking, we are back home! LOL. After that, Titus gave me the Shawnee T-shirt that he won from shuffleboard and he said his mom wanted me to have it as a souvenir. Thank you. J. Kevin waited for his mom to pick him up and the rest of us stayed in Peggy’s house. We watched music videos and when it was 7pm, we left. They went to see a movie and Jenn and I walked home. As we got to my house, no one was home and I didn’t have my keys, so I went to Jenn’s house. I stayed there till 7:30pm. And my mom and my brother weren’t home till 7:40pm. Overall, this was a great trip and I loved every second of it. Thank you everyone (Titus, Titus’s mom, Kevin, Jeff, Jenn, Karmun, and Peggy) for sharing this memory and experience with me!!
