I feel like such an idiot...

I had to go to the post office to mail something before and I didn't have a stamp, but I figured since I'm going to the post office anyway, I can get a stamp there. However, just as I got to the door of the post office, I realized that I didn't bring my wallet... (And I didn't bring my wallet because I thought I wouldn't need it since I was only going to the post office!!) Ahh!!! Just how idiotic is this! I guess I'm going to have to make another trip tomorrow...

I believe I have stated before how much I hated the MTA, well now I would like to state it again, I DESPISE the MTA. Instead of making use of the extra money that they have to fix up the hundred year old system, they decide to improve on the physical look of the stations. Now, is that really necessary?? There are people struggling to get to work on time so I seriously doubt that they even care about what the stupid subway station looks like! I know it's old and junky but hey, there is such a thing as prioritizing. A subway system's number one priority should be to get the people from point A to point B as fast, safely, and efficiently as possible, however, I would say only 50% of the time this actually happens! And when it rains? Oh my gosh, forget it, you're screwed, might as well call in to work and tell them you'll be late because there is no way in hell the subway will be on time (unless you get to the station an hour earlier). So needless to say, it was raining today and 'lo and behold I was late this morning. When I got to the train station the guy on the loudspeaker was repeating over and over again "There will be no express trains, all trains are local, ALL TRAINS ARE LOCAL". So I thought fine, let me get on the next train that's leaving. Now, there were THREE trains in the station BUT it still took them forever to get the first train out!! Just close the damn doors and leave! There's two other trains in the station! And of course since it was raining, there were delays, everything was backed up. The train was moving like a cow and slowly but surely, the express train passed us. You can only imagine how mad I was... If the freaken express train was running again then why didn't they just announce it and have some of the local trains turn express to free up the congestion?!? I really would like to know what kind of people are running the MTA and what the hell are they thinking of?? Instead of taking that extra money and giving themselves a hefty raise, can't they for once think of the commuters?? I hate them...
