It's been a week since we returned from a whirlwind of a trip to the East Coast...
NYC->Boston->NYC->Toronto->Buffalo...whew!

After hubby's busy work travel season these past few months, it was fun to get away on a non-work-related trip and catching up w/ dear friends was an excellent bonus!!

It would take forever for me to blog about everything we did, but pictures speak a thousand words, so there's about a dozen albums for you to enjoy on facebook

I do have to give a special shout-out to some special pple for an absolutely amazing time.  THANK YOU for taking the time to show hubby around the city & just for your sincere friendship.  Good friends for life are a rare find and you guys are truly treasured. 

rehmee78:  Thank you for sacrificing precious time w/ little LV to hang out w/ us and plan an amazing sightseing & food tour!

mistervoo:  Thanks for being our chauffeur & never giving us a dull moment of life in the city (although a bit frightening @ times! ;)) 

bubba296: Thanks for coming down and walking ALL over w/ us!  You are a dear friend, and constant source of entertainment :) 

phatbb:  My stomach still hurts from all the laughter!  It wouldn't have been the same w/o you!

ironchefhkk: It made me smile just watching you interact w/ my crazy "2nd family".  You have been officially initiated as a New Yorker   (Just gotta remember to "switch gears" when you come back to the left coast )

Then..& Now

 Last week, I spent a few days up at mom & dad's, and went thru some old albums for fun...
I discovered some old pix that have a connection to the here & now...it was so weird!!

I don't remember much, but the first 2 years of my life were spent in the LA area...check out this pic, & note the date/event...

This wkend, we spent 4 days fellowshipping & learning w/ our fellow CEC'ers in the place pictured below...look familiar??

I don't know when this picture was taken, but it seems that history is repeating itself...this is the same task I do every Friday @ work now...

New house projects...

Finally got the drapes/curtains done for the bedrooms so we can sleep a little longer w/o the sun shining in our/our guests' faces in the morning!
