  • Snow!

I never thought I'd ever be excited about snow again, but I am. It's always that first snow that looks so pretty and gives you that tingly winter feeling. I also park in a heated garage so I don't ever have to dig my car out. And I take the subway to work, so I don't have to worry about driving in it. It snowed a little Saturday night and it's supposed to snow some more tonight.

This weekend was good. Saturday Michelle reappeared on the radar. We went out, even though it was very cold. Sunday it was snowy. I finished reading "A Million Little Pieces." Good book. I recommend it.

I got my free $10 bonus metrocard in the mail today, which is really dumb because I have an unlimted card so wtf do I need a $10 card for? How about a $10 rebate geniuses? I gave the card to my mom. Instead of giving cheaper rides why don't they fix the freakin trains? Especially the E train which is the one I ride and just happens to be the oldest, dirtiest, loudest train there is. I'd donate my $10 metrocard to get a nicer train.

So now that I'm getting out of my gym membership I've decided that I'm going to order pilates DVDs. There's more of a chance that I'll pop in a DVD and do it in my room than go out in the freakin cold. And it's a lot cheaper.

  • I want happy feet!

Haha. The title makes me laugh. Work has been good, but very busy. Yesterday wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but I was still at the office past 7pm. Today was not quite as busy. After work I went shopping (what a suprise) with April. We went all over the place and ended up at Macy's b/c we had these coupons. If you've never been there (the 34th street store) let me tell you that it's really really big. We walked around forever (actually until almost 11pm when they closed). My feet started to hurt like crazy b/c I was wearing heels and I was going to meet some friends at a bar, but instead I came home so that my feet could have a break. Tomorrow my dad's coming over and we're going to start redesigning my closet and buying the stuff @ home depot. I heard that it's supposed to snow on Monday. It'll be the first snow I've seen since like March in Bing.

Today I went to the bank during lunch and took out money and realized that there was about $1,000 less in my bank account than there was the last time I checked. It was very upsetting, especially since I just got paid. Thankfully it was just a mistake that I made when accidentally transferred money to my savings instead of from my savings to pay off part of my dinky student loan. Duh.

Sigh. I need a boyfriend to rub my feet, lol.

  • Another day off...

So I had off from work again today. I don't go back until Thursday. On Wednesday I have a class at NYU all day, so tomorrow is my last real day off. It's been nice to have some vacation time (more than just a day here or there). Today I slept late and then I went shopping. First I hit up Century 21 on LI (even though I work right next door to the one in Manhattan, this one has no tourists which is a major plus). I had a $10 coupon from the perfume that I bough last week (you get a $10 coupon when you make a cosmetics purchase). I bought a pair of diesel jeans and a party dress. Next stop was Target (from one end of the spectrum to another). I got a few cute tops. Then I came home and vacumed my room. I read and watched tv and did whatever I felt like doing. It was very nice. My Bloomingdale's giftcard that I ordered with my amex rewards points came in the mail today too. All in all a nice day. Hopefully tomorrow will be just as nice and then it's back to business (at least for a little while). I'm taking a 4-day weekend mid-december.

  • Thanksgiving and all that jazz....

Ok, super update time, sorta. I worked Mon, Tues and until 1pm on Wednesday. On Monday I had my last NYU class. I did a powerpoint presentation with a girl I met in the class and usually sat with. I thought she was around my age, but then I found out that she's 28...and me being me I said "I didn't realize you were that old." She wasn't upset, but it was a dumb thing to say. My 26-year old co-worker agreed as well, but she gets to be old because she's getting married in the spring. The weird thing is that I don't really feel younger than these people, so does that make me old?

Wednesday I finished up things at work. I'm not going back until Thursday, having myself a nice vacation. I need to use up some of my vacation days before the end of the year. It's nice to have some time off. I got my oil changed (finally). I also got a new perfume (after knocking over some tourists in Century 21). I had been looking for one for a while. I wore Clinique Happy in HS and most of college (Bridget used to tell people that they smelled like me when they were wearing it and it bothered her), but I got tired of it and I haven't really been wearing any perfume lately, so I decided it was time to find one. I settled on Chanel Chance. I think it's more sophisticated and nice for the winter. Wednesday night I went into the city to meet April and some of her friends from Bing (sorority girls). We went to some bar on the UES, it was fun.

Thursday I spent way too much time in my car with my dad and grandparents driving to Conneticut so we could eat and drive home. I think that was the last time I'm doing that. I don't know how, but I'm not doing it anymore.

I have so many things  I want to do, and not all the motivation to do them....

About Me

  • OK, so why am I doing this Xanga thing? Seemed like a good idea. My lil cousin does it and some other people I know do as well. I thought it might be a good way to put down my thought, but I never was any good at keeping a diary....
