| | Alright, Carrie pointed out that I don't write anything new so this is going to be an attempt to do just that. Last week was very busy at work with a school group here Mon-Thur and a Women's Wellness Weekend going on Fri-Sun, but it was super fun. I did a lot of cross country skiing. I taught about 4 classes which is funny because now I've only done it 5 times total haha but I think I got the hang of it and I actually really enjoy it. It's a great way to exercise on beautiful snowy days. I also worked on the tubing hill and did ice skating and snow shoeing. All very fun. I love that I get paid for this. I'm also working on expanding the camp's portable teambuilding elements by building things such as A-frames, teamplay tubes, lyrca tubes etc. As of now I'm just guessing on dimensions which I don't think will be all that bad if i go and play around in Home Depot for a while to see if I'm close. I get to be a counselor for winter camp in Feb which I am very excited about. Camp is magical and I LOVE being a counselor so it will be nice to have that again!:) I'm still working at Eddie Bower too which is... retail, but I really like their clothes and my boss is amazing. The days that I get to work with her are great, all the others... eh it's another dollar in the bank. I'm not made to be inside. Will and I bought our first car together!! It's a 2000 VW Jetta with leather interior, heated seats, multiple CD changer, temperature control, etc. It's the nicest car I've ever owned/driven as "my car". It's manual though so it's taking me some getting used to. I was practising the other day and was stopped at a red light and couldn't go again. I stalled out like 4 times through 3 green lights, then a cop just happened to drive up behind me and turned his lights on (first time talking to a cop like that ever). I wasn't pulled over because I was already there and stopped so it doesn't count, but he was like what's going on and I told him I was practising and he made me switch seats with my passenger (who can drive stick) and was kind of being a jerk making fun of me. I told him that I knew how to do it and I was just having some trouble and he was like "doesn't look like you know what you're doing, practise in a parking lot". But then I was so embarassed that I started to tear up and he was like "i'm just kidding " but i still think he was a jerk. Anyway, I'm still practising, and I think i would have been fine if a car hadn't pulled up behind me at that light. For some reason that made me nervous and then I couldn't focus and get it going. A few more people have arrived as staff so things are going much better. It's good to have some more girls around. I didin't realize how important having girl friends was until here. Will went to Ohio this week for 3 interviews for sales jobs. The first one stood him up, the second one he didn't relaly like, and the third one offered him a job but he's not taking it because it's not what he was expecting. So, here we are in MA with no plans as of yet for our summer. We might stay here, we might try to find something else. If I could find a camp job with salary, housing and benefits that would be ideal b/c then I can feel ok about paying off my school loans and Will could just come with me and sell from where ever my job is... now I just have to find it. I'm not worried though, God has a plan and I have peace because of that. So there you go, something new... Erack ;P |
