Hey all you people who don't have facebook or myspace on here... I got to go to Maegan and Caleb's wedding this weekend.  It was beautiful.  After the wedding we went back to my house and took some pictures of us being all dressed up.  Here they are.  Go to my photos.  Enjoy!

The Love bug

It has happened...it is for sure... I have fallen in love.  His name is paul and he is amazing.  When I am not with him, I count down the time until I get to see him again.  And when I am with him, I find myself wishing that time would stand still.  When I see him or even think about him my heart races and butterflies play in my stomach.  And when he kisses me, I am convenced that I can fly.  LOL, yep I have fallen in love and I would not trade it for anything.  The Lord is good to me.  Being patient was definatly worth the wait.

Military or Not? That is the question... Cont.

So I wanted to kinda give you an update on my desire to join the Coast Guard.  I have done a lot of praying about it and have decided to pray a lot more about it...  The Lord has not given me any peace about it, so I am going to pray through the summer and see where I am at in August.  I also need to use the summer to get all of my debt taken  care of, because they won't let you join the military if you have any debt.  This will allow some more time to figure out things.  I do ask that you continue to keep me in your prayers.  All the prayers I can get are appreciated.

In other news, my littlest brother was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, so my family and I have been dealing with that.  My other little brother just left this morning for Marine Combat Training for three weeks.  Then he will go to Texas for 4 months for A-School.  Then he will get his "permanent" post.   I put permanent in " " because in the Marines you really don't have one home for the time you are in the service.  Other then that things are going pretty smoothly.  I am working at JC Penneys now, and I am enjoying that (kinda).  I get to fold clothes all day, everyday, for 40 hours a week.  Anyway thats about all I have for now.  Oh, I am going on a date tonight.  I am so excited.  I met a guy from work and we have really hit it off.  Okay, I am done talking now.  I will talk at you all later.

In Christ Alone,

Elizabeth

Military or Not? That is the question...

Okay, so MOST of you know by this point that my brother is a United States Marine.  He graduated on good Friday.  I am so excited to have him home for a few days before heading back to San Diego for more training.  My delima right now is whether or not I would like to join the Military and be in the Coast Guard.  I keep running it through my head, and can't decide if that is what I really want to do.  So I am going to make a pro and con list right now.  Please feel free to leave me a comment about this one.  So here is my list...

Pro's

*I would be fullfilling a dream of mine (one of the crazy ones)

*I would be taught core values like discipline, respect, dedication, among many others...

*I would be in my element (water)

*Being in the Military would pay for my School when I decided to go back.

*I would have a steady pay check, benifits, etc...

*I would see parts of the world I wouldn't see other-wise.

*My family would be very proud of me.

*I would accomplish something that not everyone is able to do.

*I would become physically and mentally stronger.

Con's

*I would have to go through Hell for 8 weeks. (Boot camp)

*I would be far from my family for at least 3 years.

*I would have to go through the hardest thing I have ever done in my whole life.

*I would be screamed at for atleast 8 weeks, by very scary people called drill sargents.

*I may be stationed where it is cold.

I am sure that there are several others, but this is the list that I came up with off the top of my head.  I have 9 pro's and 5 con's.  Most of the con's having something to do with boot camp, witch is only 8 weeks out of my entire career int he Coast Guard.  Anyway, this is all I have for now.  Again feel free to post comments.  I would love to hear what you all think.
