| Golly, 2 in one day! Today was a mix of packing and phone calls. I was very glad to get to talk to Joanna this morning! I am so excited to get together with her once things get more settled. Melissa read And Then There Were None to me for most of the afternoon (while I packed). Even though I've already read it {in India} it sure is fun to hear it a second time. Rosalind came over this evening... she too watched me pack... followed by A Walk to Remember. She likes girly movies, and hey, why not. | I know, I rarely write on xanga these days (Molly Anne @ myspace if anyone's interested... not like I write much there either!) but, I must say that I just hate, hate, hate! The way my life is right now. Always in a state of flux... always waiting for something or someone (myself included) to come through... beating around the bush, beating the bush... to death. Oh, all to death. I finally found a friend in Texas... something that has proven most difficult over the past 8 months (can anyone believe it's really been 8 months?). She is such a sweetheart and I hate to leave so soon after we've connected. Maybe she'll come up and visit before she goes back to Malaysia. Sometimes everything feels wrong and broken. It's not that I don't believe God can fix it.... I'm just concerned that he won't... for the sake of teaching me a lesson. Not that I don't want to learn, but really, must it involve such loneliness? | Lucky me! Last night I was offered a temp position (as I look for other work) for a very nice man & his wife who do custom (and some catalog) church furniture & other design elements (such as moldings, organ cases etc.) I will be working primarily in CAD... doing layouts of risers as well as some fun detail and working drawings of moldings and furniture. In my fit of excitement about my new for now job, I stopped in at my local Best Buy (5 min down the road, so weird) and picked up Continuum... because I have a weakness for that man's voice. Today I'll be scrap booking Ooty, I am so excited! It's time for a change. | | |
