Good Times

I FINISHED THE PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLAR APP!!!!!one!11cos(0)tan(45)!!!!

Time to slack off. Here's how:

1. Never again read anything but sparknotes for Letsch's class. Screw English, screw essays, i'm done.

2. Develop even more covert ways to copy matt's code in java. IE tempt him with food, tell him veltemp just walked into pikesville, threatening him with the wrath of C'thun, etc.

3. I dunno if i can slack off more in physics, but i sure will try. VBA is on my flash drive so i can play cool games like fire emblem (read: grind in the arena till all my upgraded characters are lvl 20). I'm doing my best to get war on a laptop too.

4. Bio, please. If my war attempt succeeds, i'll rename that class DOTA 101. funny thing is, i'll probably have (TJ) people to play with too.

5. Econ - i've stopped reading the book, what more can you ask?

Of course, i need to find some new worthwhile goals in the complete abscence of constructive work to do:

1. Game more

2. Screw around with the mendelssohn concerto as soon as i can steal the score from my teacher

3. Sleep

4. Get ready for NHSMUN 06!!!!!!! like a month left till the madness begins for the last time

5. Enjoy prom (which is definitely going to be enjoyable). Hopefully by say, the end of NHSMUN, i'll have an excellent reason to go "tux shopping" with alex.

6. Meet hot chixxxxx

7. Disregard #6 completely

I have the weirdest friends...

Ok. So i'm sitting at home, happily writing about Dr. Faustus for my Presidential Scholar essay, when matt calls from Model UN Fuddruckers Night. I mean, i dislike it enough when he calls normally, but when he calls and he's around good food, it makes it like zomgwtf times worse. so he rambles on about like nothing for a couple minutes, and then i get a second call. It's josh, and lo and behold, he's at Fuddruckers too. he does a pretty bad job of pretending that matt's over his house and the girls' voices in the background are from ventrilo. I am just pointing out his hopeless disguise when Tamara calls. Guess where she's calling from. So she asks me the same exact questions about what I'm doing, laughs, and passes the phone on to Megan. Apparently however many of them were at Fuddruckers decided that it would be funny to chain call me, make my "there's another caller on the line" beep go haywire, and ask me what's up like 6.022 x 10^23 times. I figure josh isn't smart enough to think up this kind of idea, and matt denied that it was him, so it was definitely matt's idea. Heck, i should probably just use this rant as one of those scholar essays....see how far it gets me. So anyway, thanks a lot for the calls guys...you're all fucking crazy.

The First Post (of 2006)

woohoo it's the new year. four months till graduation, and prom, and all sorts of revelry. a lot of pretty cool stuff has been happening here, and i think i'll mention a few things for the 1.5 of you who may or may not read this.

1. NHSMUN '06 is in 56 days

2. Physics has totally degenerated into daily gaming/bageleating sessions. It was pretty funny when victor jumped out the window, walked to shoppers, bought orange juice for the class, and came back all without russ noticing. in other words, I <3 breakfast buffet monday. and the 51/56 i got on the midterm in a class that i don't technically take. you can't watch wedding crashers for four days straight in any other class.

3. If possible, econ has degenerated even more than physics. With our "study" sessions for the midterm (form the rhombus!) and the rampant lack of caring that basically everyone shows nowadays, we'll probably be playing risk during class soon.

4. Wilburn's gonna be a dad!

5. I have a superawesome ex-CTY DOTA buddy ^^.

more to come later...

THE LAST POST (of 2005)

well guys, as we approach the new year, i figure it's time for my (now) annual recap of all things important. This may end up being a long post, so you've been forewarned.

but first, at alex's suggestion, i'll include a couple resolutions for the new year.

i would say i'd try to be less arrogant, but there's really no point in making a resolution i'll probably break at 12:01

i can def. try to be a nicer person, especially when i talk about freshmen. hopefully they'll make a resolution to be less stupid. i'm going to learn to cook too. if i get into MIT, i'll have a kitchen in my suite, so why not practice just in case those crazy engineers up in cambridge decide to take me? speaking of college, i resolve to get in somewhere. that is not maryland. i must beat metroid with alex, and hopefully get to work on metroid 2. i will improve my skillz at mario tennis, which is a requisite for any college. and last, but not least, i will get into WoW, following the weinberg doctrine that games > girls.

now for the year in review.

January: continued with the onslaught of US History work. remember those days? a stellar idea to share work with matt continued to allow me to game though, so no worries. played in an excellent peabody concert (matt's been whistling the tunes ever since)

February: All State 2005, which may have been my last. As usual, the concert was quite something, especially with Richard in his rightful place as concertmaster. oh, and i REAMED matt in the AMC's.

March: The NHSMUN madness repeated itself for the third time. A few highlights:

Dan coming back from his crisis to find matt sprawled on the bed. Matt still doesn't like to talk about it. (jk)

The hott lesbian redhead chair (adi lang knows)

The delegation of Taiwan, as represented in SOCHUM

Munaf aka munizzle and the pina colada --> The origins of the phrase "Aggressive Drunk"

Serendipity = good dessert.

April: Ah, the traditional AP cram month. Believe it or not, i studied for AP tests in April

May: took a bunch of ap tests, zomgwtfpwnt them all. had to miss the second peabody concert for matt's birthday party, which was quite some fun. then it was off to milwaukee for four days of cheese, sausage (brats in particular), and being bored out of our minds. Scrabble at 2 in the morning is nice tho. Candyland isn't.

June: finished another horrifically long year of school. picked up tennis again. learned how to wash test tubes at NIH. made a fool of myself in the lab while getting paid like $10 an hour.

July: made some DNA after A LOT of trial and error. probably wasted like $2000 in lab supplies. still got paid $10 an hour. without apush work to do, could not find meaning in life.

August: where'd that summer break go? started procrastinating on college apps, started practicing violin again, ate a lot of snoasis. Went back to physics for a stellar second year

September: realized that I hate freshmen.

October: continued procrastinating on those college apps. partook in the tradition that is now known to pikesville as Breakfast Buffet Monday. used 90 minutes a day in bio to improve my pocket tanks skills. stopped being a noob in dota. realized the uselessness of letsch's class (read: stopped reading the outside reading books). practiced some more violin. went to wash u, had quite a good time there. had a really good time at homecoming too, and after it.

November: sent out a couple apps, kept procrastinating on the rest. all state audition, IA taping, both went pretty well. enjoyed harry potter!

December: turned 17, applied to college, applied to college for matt, deferred by harvard , and currently enjoying winter break.

So, as 2005 winds down, i'd like to wish everyone who's made a difference to me an excellent new year in the hopes that the year i go off to college is the best yet.

Fucking awesome weekend.

Friday: got pissed at the It's Academic freshman and slept for two hours instead of running

Saturday: owned a DOTA game, worried about what to wear for IA taping, went down to WJZ. we had to wait for like an hour before we started our taping, but that doesn't matter because we won 525-450-360. Watch me look like an ubernerd on december 24! then me and adi went down to peabody and "lunched". i walk in to rehearsal JUST as gene is thanking the soloist for coming...grrr...and realize that without me in the front some ppl can't even count the beethoven, never mind the pulcinella. rehearsal went well, as even the bassoons didn't screw up as much as they usually do. then it was home to shower and eat before heading to feldmans! i won't go into detail about what happened, except to say that i went to sleep on the couch in the basement and woke up a couple hours later on the couch in the first floor. so i just stumbled downstairs and fell asleep again. At least i didn't need to drink any ancient tea to feel better. good timessss
