Wow. It has been forever. whoops. so junior year... yeaa..... not sure how i feel about it. now is probably not the best time to be assessing.. i did really enjoy some of my classes. surprisingly enough i really loved new testament. if i can fit it in i'd like to take other religion classes when i come back. but anyway, at the moment i am goin out-of-my-mind with end of the semester crap. i think this is the hardest end of a semester that i've had thus far. it's not fun, i'll tell ya that. but in one week it will be done!! and i will be home! i seriously cannot wait. although it'll suck having to move all my crap out. i will miss this house. it's kinda awesome. but oh man, extra long winter break = fantastic!!! i cannot WAIT! although i was taking it for granted that MAC would let me come back and work while i'm home but i just talked to them and it seems like a maybe, not a definite. talk about needing to make sure its in the budget and blah blah blah. ew. guess if i do get to come back they wont be giving me a raise. lol. whatever, i'll take what i can get. even if it is minimum wage. cause i need money! but it will be great having extra time. i plan on finally making it out to pittsburg to visit jane and meet all her CMU friends. finally! that should be really great.

Things have been so crazy i havent been able to think too much about next semester. but today i have had a bit of a break and i have thought about it a bit. i cannot believe that only 2 months from now, i will be in australia. practically living in the rainforest. ahhhhh! it's going to be so amazing. and so scary at the same time. the plane ride is going to be terrible. i fly to LA (with stopover in chicago) and then from there straight to australia. longest flight EVER. Oh man. i hope that i get along with the others in the program. eep. and i hope that i find someone to travel to new zealand with me after the semester is over. otherwise i'll just go by myself. cause i cant justify being so close and not going. the plan is to spend a week traveling around new zealand. wooo! theres so much i want to see! ahhh! i cant believe this is actually happening. it is going to be really incredible.

Summer is amazing so far. I got home friday around 5pm. And already I have seen Cletus twice - once for applebees and once for the beach. That's right... last night, we left at 8:30pm and went to point pleasent. It was soooooooo much fun (once we actually found the boardwalk. lol). We even found REAL skeeball. None of that plastic crap. It was very exciting. And it was lovely to see the sand and waves once again. I love the ocean so much. Am hoping that tuesday we are able to go in the afternoon. That'd be awesome. I have also watched a movie with my dad already, played cards, and eaten at Stewarts AND szechuan. And I've started reading HP 5 again. Well, reading/listening to the tapes. It's amusing. =) And today is absolutely gorgeous and so I've already walked down to the lake once. Soooooo pretty. I love it. Such a great summer. And it has only just begun....

So the semester is quickly coming to an end, and i've been so focused on finishing all my work and getting to go hoooooome for the summer that I havent really thought about the fact that some really cool people are graduating this year. I mean, its no one that I am bff with or anything, or even good friends, but just a few people that I am used to seeing around and having classes with. Especially this semester. There have been some good times. And I am so used to having classes with them or seeing them in EnAcT, that it is going to be really weird when they aren't here next year. I mean, there's a chance that I will never see some of them again. Which is kinda sad. I hate change. =(

In other happier news, this was an awesome year. I think next year has the prospect of being really awesome too. Living in the GSA House in the fall and taking some different classes than my usual. New Testament, Archeology, Toxicology, Ornithology, and German Cinema. woohoo! and then hopefully spending the spring semester in australia. in the rainforest. taking classes and doing directed research. holy crap. it's really going to suck if after all this i dont get in the program. but i really dont see that happening. and if it does.. well... i'll deal.

Oh, in other utter randomness.... I am going to the Live Earth concert on July 7th!!! I am sooo incredibly excited. It is going to be soooo amazing. I still can't believe I'm actually going. This summer has the potential to be completely awesome. Lots of great movies and books (HP 7 omg!!) coming out. Cape May with the fam, lots of beaching with my awesometastic friends, etc. The only annoying bit is I still dont know if I'll be interning or working at MAC or what I will be doing. Hopefully that'll get figured out soon.

In 8 days, I will be halfway done with college. holy crap. how did that happen?

Ohmygoodness. The obsession had already sort of begun... but now..... watch out. Ben Folds concert was tonight and it was freakin fabulous. I had soooo much fun. And now I know that I am going to ask for the rest of his CDs for my bday. And i'm considering joining the fan club cause hey its only $25 for a year and you get tons of stuff! Aaaaaand I want to see him again. Now I understand why people I knew had seen him like 4 times... before I thought that was kinda crazy... but now, not so much. He's touring with John Mayer this summer which would be pretty fantastic to see. Oh dear. Seriously though, if you are a fan and havent yet, definitely try and see him live. Cause it is just incredible. Seeing him play piano just kinda blows your mind. And he is just lots of fun. Wow. Yeah. Thinkin of maybe visiting the wife in july and going to see him... it'd kinda be an early bday present for meeeeeeee. but that might be a tad insane. We shall see....

This weekend has just made me smile. A lot. Possibly cause I did more in this one weekend than I have in a while. Hosted a perspective, went to Philly with some cool people for a geology field trip thing, had my choir concert and of course the best, the Ben Folds concert. Course I hardly did any work. lol. Which is quite not good.. but I dont even care.

The other thing I've been meaning to write about is An Inconvenient Truth. I finally saw it last month when EnAcT showed it. Most of it I knew, but just seeing the graphs and everything kinda makes it hit home. It's some really scary stuff lemme tell ya. You should all check out this site... http://www.climatecrisis.net/takeaction/ We really need to take action, in whatever ways we can.

Right. I'm done now.

I would just like to say that my friends are kinda amazing and i love them a lot. we totally spent a good 5 or 10 minutes tonight, on our last night together, discussing which would be more painful to give birth to: a baby, or a pineapple (on a stick)? spectacular? i think so. it was nice to re-instate the good ol' madlib days. it had been an extraordinary amount of time. we also have recently taken up multiple solitare.. definitely spent a good 3.5hrs playing it thursday night. But anyway, it was a good last hangout i believe. the sayin good-bye bit is always tough. we were already minus an almost midget which was very sad indeed. but now in less than 2 days i get to see Berg people again, which is most definitely exciting. =) And i succeeded in seeing many awesome people this break including the gang of course, val, faria, brittany, carolyn hogan, and margaret. And i made some $$. Not a bad break at all. =)
