| By the end of highschool, you want to have these things accomplished in order to have lived a successful teenage life. Without these things, life would not be complete. These things differentiate you from every other person walking around. Seriously, this will make your life so much more enjoyable! it will give you something to strive for and gives you memories you will never forget!
1. You must have a signiture dance move. A dance move that when people see it, they immediately think of you! To be embarrassed to dance, is to be embarrassed about who you are!
2. You must have a signiture pose or face. When you take pictures, don't do the same old smile and then later hate your face for it. If you take funny shots and they look bad, at least you don't have to say that you were trying to look good! lol...but have a face that you can put on at any moment that can make people laugh! and always make sure, its completely your own and people identify that face with you!
3. You should become friends with every type of person there is at some point. You should befriend someone that is just like you and someone that is nothing like you, someone that looks exactly like you and someone who looks nothing like you. You should branch out into different groups. Have a prep friend, a trendy friend, a punk friend, a gothic friend, a skater friend, a nerd friend, an asian friend, a ghetto friend, a jock friend and whoever else there is! Being friends with all these people is not only fun, but it shows that you know who you are and it doesnt take the people that you are friends with to show it!
4. Be on screen or on stage. Take a stand and be a leader of something. Whether its joining the school play, reading the daily announcements, running for a class counsil possition or the likes. You should put yourself out there and come out of your comfort zone. Doing these things puts you in a place to be judged. But trust me, its so much more fun once your out for the world to see!
5. You must embarrass yourself infront of a huge crowd. It may be being iniciated for a sport or joining a wierd club. But when your letting yourself not get caught up in what everyone else is thinking about you, its the best feeling in the world. Do it with a huge group, it makes it more fun and a little less wierd. You should have a purpose also. In order for this to happen, you must involve yourself!! BEING INVOLVED ROCKS, you'll never get bored!
6. Participate in community service. Don't do all the boring things becasue you have to because the school says you have to, but do the stuff taht takes time and that you can get the most out of. Feeding the homeless, painting a school, are just examples of how you can get involved. Even small things are fun like making cards for sick children or making carmel apples for others. Do something that you enjoy, but also somehting that may be a little out of your comfort zone. Just to experience many different things is fun, no one can take it away from you and it can't be bought. This also helps out someone else's life, don't be selfish and always focus on what's in your life. Look around and see how you can help other people!
7. Have a complete girls night!! this means absolutely NO BOYS! talking about them is permitting but only on a good, gidddy note. There is no being upset and no dwelling on anything. There is brief gossip but again, no dwelling on anything anyone did. This night is meant for chick-flicks that make you cry your eyes out, both laughing and crying. Ben and Jerrys is also mandatory and so is any type of pampering. such as make overs, nail painting, hair styling and the likes. Each girl must not care what she looks like, but everything about the night should be feminine.
8. Do SOMETHING drastic to your image. This is means different things for different people. It could doing something as little as getting second holes, to dying your hair bright pink. Whatever it is, do it just becasue and do according to the type of peron you are. It has to make you nervous to do and something that won't perminatley harm you! An experiment is always fun! Do something that shows your not boring, even if it doesnt turn out good, it shows something about your character!
9. Start a trend. This doesnt have to be something like cropped shirts or converses, it can be as small as the font type you use on aim that no one else used before you, but everyone begins to used becasue you have it and it looks cool. You also may not always get credit for a trend, but it will just give you the confidence taht people are looking at you and responding it positive ways. It shows that in some way, people want to be like you! Also, this trend does not have to be completely oringial. If you see someone else doing something and you then copy it but in a whole different atmosphere where no one else does it and people are free to judge you by it, that is also alright. Be a TREND SETTER, at least once in your life!
10. Lastly, throw a party! Being a host makes you go through a lot for a short amount of fun, but it is so worth it! You get to make the party as you want and you get to invite who you want. You can shape it however you want and when the guest start arriving, you can look around and really appreciate it. This was all you! Everything, you created. Of course you can have help, but if it wasnt for you, the party would not have happened. It gives you a sense of accomplishment! and if people leave happy saying they had a fun time, you just made their night!
...so i love this list of things, becasue it is truely a list to strive for! yes, i came up with it and feel strongly about everyone else joining in on the fun of accomplishing it! I believe doing these things will help me end my highschool life and prepare me fore the next portion of my life. Learning to have fun and getting out of your comfort zone is a must!! Also i believe one of the best words ever is EXPERIENCE. becasue it shows taht you've tried things and you've done something with your life! So get up and do something with your life!
