| May 2008My love and I are prepping to move again. It will be the last move for the next five years or more. We are moving from Mount Joy, PA. We bought a house that is still not completely finished. We picked out the linenolium, and carpeting. It is a 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bathroom, basement with a walkout, garage, with a deck included. We are really excited since this will be the first place we can actually call ours. NO more renting for us!!! Well that is all for now. | | |
| Update Wow.. The last time I updated this was in Easter. A lot has happened in my love's and my life. I guess I will start with our professional lives and move to the family things. Professional My baby has an interview that is about twenty minutes from where we currently live. It is not a definate job, but it holds potential. He most likely is looking to attend the interview on Friday. Me: I have almost completed my first year of teaching. It has been the rough with little support. I often felt like I had 3 hats with little support from those on the staff. Oye.. I could really go off on this topic, but I won't. I have learned a lot from this experience. I will have a change of scenery for next year in the district, voluntairly. I will be helping to setup the first d/hh classroom in the district. I will be the teacher as well. I will have a total of 6 kids and I am looking forward to a change of pace. I will miss my itinerant kiddos, but I know that they will continue to suceed in whatever they choose to do with their life. Personal Wow.. I don't know why I decided to fancy the way I'm presenting this blog. Hehe .. I guess I decided a change in appearance would be neat. I just want to use the bold. Okay!! !! Anywho.. a lot is going on for both of us. Currently: My baby and I are busy with our jobs and family. My aunt just died on saturday. She went to visit god and is no longer in pain. It has been about a month and a half since she was first identified with pancreatic cancer. She died on the hospital bag. We have plans to go to Virginia on Saturday to attend the funeral. Mostly work keeps us busy though. Future: This summer we also have a lot of plans.. At the end of June, we will be in Florida staying at one of the resorts in Disney world. We look forward to that. I will be busy with tutoring and he will continue to work. Also we will be going to Tennesse with his family for a week for a family vacation. We will also be leaving the current location to better things. So it will be another move, but hopefully we can find a place that may be more permanent if we don't get a house right away. We shall see.. Maybe a house next, but as I say, that isn't a must at this point in time. For Everyone else I hope everyone has had a nice start to a year. Hopefully everyone is doing well and not sick. I hope you all have a nice summer, incase I don't update for a while. Ta Ta. | | |
| Happy Easter and updateI hope everyone had a nice Easter. A lot has been taking place. My aunt only a month ago found out she has pancreatic cancer. It seems like time is not on her side. I don't care for the hospital she is at. It seems like too many things go wrong. When she first was in the hospital, they gave her Vitamin K in a method that is deadly too anyone. They almost killed my aunt. Their attitude was that it's administred that way all the time. I have several nurses and medical people in my family. Every single person has said that the way they administered it was wrong. Even people outside the family has stated the very same thing. SO to save their butts- they typed into the computer that my Aunt is allergic to vitamin k. She is not allergic to Vitamin-k (food or meds).. The first time in the hospital they asked her if she would like to be put in contact with a pastor or a religious leader of a church. My aunt had told them yes that she would be like to be contacted. A month later and no one has contacted her. She may only have 2 weeks to live. So she mentioned it again while being at the hospital and we'll wait and see. I think I will be doing phone calls soon if the hospital doesn't do a thing. She is back in the hospital again. This time the medical staff hasn't made any deadly decisions, but food services doesn't seem to get anything right. My aunt is losing a lot of weight and is suppose to be eating pretty much all the time. She has ordered the snacks and they never come. It's a little ridiculuous. She's been told an estimated time of 2 weeks to live. She wants to fight to survive, but how can she do that when she is losing the weight. She needs the food to provide her body the ability to fight off infections, and to handle any chemo that is given to her. It's not been a good month for my aunt. Her face is so orange and yellowish it's unreal. She has told the doctor that she is not ready to die. Please keep my aunt in your prayers. She needs it more than ever. Please also pray for my uncle. It is going to be a rough next two weeks. I'm hoping this new chemo drug may work. I hate cancer. I hate how it makes people suffer. I hate how it makes the people who have it and family suffer. I feel like over the past year 1/2, I have been surrounded by cancer. I had a student in student teaching whom had cancer, my friend Anne at Bloomsburg just died of cancer, and several other poeple at college also had cancer. Now my Aunt Anne. I helped take care of Anne at Bloomsburg. It was hard to watch someone so special suffer from pain. Now it seems like I will have to watch it again. | | |
| Happy New Years- From the Campbell's Okay this year was a flop in our Holiday spirt. Well not completely. My baby and I managed to get Holiday cookies to all the co-workers and the lights and tree up for the holiday. However, no Holiday letter out in the mail. Wow!! This year has really blown by. My baby and I are going to Florida in June to stay at one of the Disney Resorts. Sometime this summer, we will be looking into buying a house and most likely in Juniata County. I would continue to work at Harrisburg, as was my plans. Also we will be heading to Tennesses for a week to spend time on a resort with my inlaws. We still have three 4 day 3 night vacations that we need to pick dates. 2 of the 3 we need to select location and one just the date. Hopefully we can figure that time out soon so we don't loose those free spots. Unfortuantely we will probably have to attend those more than an hour attemtps to sell you a time share. The last one we spent 5 hours and at the end after saying "no" numerous times and in numerous ways - the guy looked like he was ready to kill both of us. At least its more than a day or it would not be worth it. We won't say "no" to the word "free". Well we have a lot going on. We have two hamsters that need to be allowed out for exercise. | | |
| Happy Holidays!!!!! I have celebrated Hannakah, Christmas, and Kwanza with my language Intensive classrooms. I learned a lot about foods that get eaten during Kwanza. It's really a shame that you don't hear more about Kwanza during the holiday season. I am home with my husband and my family. I decided to quickly hop onto the internet to wish everyone Happy Holidays!!! As for my family and I we are celebrating Christmas! I'm going to enjoy this long week off of work. Spending time with my hubby is something I'm going to cherish.. | | |
