| Hawaiian Drive In - This restaurant is in a little parking lot off of
Mission and Westmoor I believe in DC. Anyhow, the most popular dish to
get here is a hearty plate of chicken katsu. It comes with rice and a
side of macaroni salad. For about $5 one person can feel full
instantly. The chicken is moist and tender. I highly recommend it if
you want some cheap eats. If you're not as hungry the Spam Masubi is
just awesome for $1.50. So tasty... making me hungry just thinking
about it.
Gold Mountain Restaurant - This restaurant is a Chinese restaurant
located on Broadway between Grant and Stockton. The food here is
actually pretty good. Dispite the higher prices the food actually meets
quality. The dishes that I really enjoy here are Peking Style Braised
Duck, Honey Walnut Prawns, Crispy Chicken, Braised Mushrooms w/ Green
Vegetable, and Shark Fin Soup. I'm pretty sure most of their menu is
good too. However, I was disappointed when I had their Baked Black Cod.
The fish was tasty, but the sauce that came with it tasted like a honey
mustard sauce. The fish tasted sweet as well couldn't quite figure out
the fusion of flavors going on in that dish. The Gold Mountain Fried
Rice was not as good either; it was very moist, but lacked in flavor. I
think if they seasoned it with a little more sodium then it'd prolly
taste better. This restaurant also has Dim Sum during Lunch. It too is
really good. Went with a friend once and it was beyond what I thought
it would be. A little pricey as well, but well worth it.

| Loi's Restaurant -- This resturant on Irving is just one of the best
Vietnamese Restaurants in San Francisco, other than this small place
near Market St. called Tu Lan. This place has very affordable
Vietnamese dishes. The dishes that I recommend are the BBQ Pork or Beef
with Rice. It includes a side of veggies and can come with a tasty
imperial roll for $1 extra. The Pho is very tasty here, as well, but I
would recommend the rice dishes if you are a first time visitor.
House of Prime Rib -- This place is among one of SF's best places to
eat if you love meat. The prime rib here is very juicy and tender. To
start the meal off, a freshly tossed salad is brought to your table as
the server mixes in the dressing right before your eyes. The main
course comes with a pretty thick slice or a several small slices of
choice prime rib, creamy spinach, mashed potatoes with gravy or a baked
potato with choice toppings of sour cream, chives, and bacon. Never had
dessert here because I was filled. If you finish your meal you have the
option of having a second smaller slice to curb your appetite. This
place is always packed. So if you plan on having a large party, plan on
reservations several days or weeks before hand.

| Best Panda - Went to Best Panda once again. It still doesn't amaze me
that this place has been just so awesome in terms of food quality and
affordability. You must ask yourself, "So how's the atmosphere?" Well
to be really honest with all of you. The atmosphere is not all that
great, it is in between a hole in the wall and a normal restaurant, but
what do you expect for the prices you pay. Well fyi, we had a table of
11 people yesterday with 9 dishes and price per head was $6 including
tax and tip. What a bargain and the food was good. We ordered Egg and
Shrimp* , Beef ChowMein x 2, Cat Fish w/ Black Bean Sauce, Mongolian
Beef , Crispy Fried Chicken* , Beef and Brocolli*, Deep Fried Tofu with
mixed Vegs*, and Salted Spicy Pork Spareribs*.
*highly recommend
King of Thai - Went to King of Thai at Lakeshore Plaza. The atmosphere
here is a lot better than the rest of the King of Thai restaurants
throughout SF. This place is an okay place if you're looking for fast
thai food. It may not be authentic but the prices are reasonable. The
only thing that I feel that this restaurant lacks ever since its
establishment is friendly customer service. I just had awful
experiences here that I just boycotted eating at the restaurant for
over 3 years. However, I decided to give them a second chance and I go
every so often, but it still never fails that the service is horrible.
Good dishes here are the Pad Sei Ew, the Pad Thai, Chicken Curry, Beef
Stew Noodle Soup, any Flat Noodle dish, and the crispy fried chicken
over rice.
Wendy's - You know what I've come to the conclusion that Wendy's is
probably THE best affordable fast food restaurant in Daly City with
it's 99ยข Menu. Therefore, it wins my approval. My favorite stuff to get
there is the chili, jr bacon cheeseburger, fries (fresh), chicken
nuggets (mmMMmmm), and either Side Salad or Caesar Salad.

| Hanh's Hibachi - Well I went back to this restaurant that I used to
love. Just watned to say that it's not the same as it once was. This
place is alright though. I ordered the Mountain of Meat, but it was
everything but a mountain of meat. It looked more like a small hill.
Paid 12.95 for it, but it's all good only worth trying once. It came
with 1 short rib, 1 pork sparerib, 1 beef sparerib, chicken, and a
porkchop. Came with a scoop of rice and salad. However, it's supposed
to come bean sprouts and kimchi. I had to ask for the kimchi. They ran
outta bean sprouts, but that's the best thing. I love bean sprouts.

La Corneta - This taqueria is near Excelsior Dst. one block across from
the Balboa BART station. Just went there because I was suggested
this place. I must say that this place tasted nasty. There is no
authentic Mexican anything about this place. The meat is not marinated
or seasoned as much as I have wanted it to be. The rice was a fried
rice type with carrots and peas. Carrots and peas probably came from
Safeway or Alberston's freezer section and added to the rice. Thought I
was in a Chinese restaurant for a second. The prices are outrageous.
Well not worth it. Anyhow, I got a super baby burrito which was $4 and
I got a flour cheese quesadilla which was $2.65. I highly recommend not
going to this restaurant, but finding one on Mission St. Anything on
Mission St. is better than this place.

| Hey all,
Been going to a lot of restaurants around the city and they were mostly all good. The restaurants are in no particular order:
Taqueria Can-Cun -- This restaurant is not too bad. I feel that the food could have been a little better. The sauces that they use are very spicy. I had the Carne Asada Burrito Mojado. The atmosphere is pretty nice though. It has the feeling of a tranquil place, yet at the same time to spike things up there is a jukebox and there is a mariachi band that comes in to play from time to time.
Best Panda-- The food here is awesome. One of the best Chinese restaurants I've been to in San Francisco. There is no recommendations other than the fact that everything is good. Come here to grub if you're really hungry. Food comes out quick and is reasonably priced.
Joe's Crab Shack-- This place is awesome. Located in Fisherman's Wharf, Joe's is a family oriented restaurant. Don't expect to take a date to this restaurant, unless he or she likes a lively surrounding. From time to time the servers dance to music and while you are being served their sense of humor is off the charts. If you are interested in reasonable prices for seafood, Joe's is a place to go. I had the broiled seafood platter which was about 17 bucks or so. Not bad at all. My friend Cal got the Fried shrimp platter which was also tasty. I recommend all the platters they are delicious.
The Original Thai BBQ-- This place was one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to. I ordered the duck with shrimp fried rice. That was probably the worst dish you can ever get. I kept complaining that it was just a whole plate of bland rice with two shrimps on top and they called that "SHRIMP FRIED RICE" that was full of crap. The duck should have been called fried back. All i had were bones and some meat. Highly don't recommend this restaurant. Everyone elses dishes looked okay, but nothing spectacular. | | |
