  • Tree Planting Day!!

Well our day started off with the fun job of planting 1000 pine trees that Rudy got from William a forestry dude that he knows... We decided to plant some pines down in the bottom land of our property where it was a bit overgrown and too wet to do much with.

The Kids are getting geared up to head out to the fields!!

We were given a planter to pull behind the tractor but after looking at the planter we decided to start off planting by hand with some spades and ropes to try and line everything up just right. So here is a little glimpse of that in action.

Ashley Is Trying To Keep Sean Happy

Natalie is helping out by stretching the rope so the trees are spaced right and hopefully in nice straight rows.

980 pines in the bag, 980 trees, grab one out and drop it down 980 trees in the bag...Sing it now.. 979 pines in the bag...979 trees...grab one out and drop it down 979 trees in the bag!

Ashley is lending her hand to help with the ropes.

So after we stopped to cool off and get some vittles for lunch our brains started to kick into gear again and we decided it might be smart to give the planter a try beings it took us an hour to plant about 70 trees by hand...

Look at the work getting done...Boy were we glad we tried the planter out!

Here we are getting ready to do some redneck mudding... haha

Little Farmer boy couldn't stay awake on the tractor with mom, but he sure enjoyed the ride

After a good nap on the tractor he was ready to get back into action with Angela!

Here is most of the crew with me at the wheel working together and getting alot of trees planted quickly!

My attempts at 2 self portraits with Sean..HAHA

In conclusion, it was a wonderful day. We really enjoyed getting out and working together as a family. We feel like the Lord has really blessed us with a job that allows us to be together as a family every day, working with and teaching our children that way the Lord designed.

Everyone had fun, we worked together, laughed together and even got some sun together..

I have finally found a few minutes to add a cheery lil update...
Since Jennifer has been home from the hospital things have been absolutely crazy here.
Trying to play catch up with the business, house and just every other thing that life can happen to throw your way.

Praise the Lord, Jennifer is fully recovered, we went to the Dr. for a checkup and all is good. At this point he would still recommend we have surgery and remove her appendix in about 3 months. We are going to wait and see how things are. We are praying we won't have to have the surgery and as long as she seems healthy we will probably pass on it.

Business has been good, but very busy. Of course there is always the joy of taxes this time of the year and we finally got that done.

The girls and Sean are all doing very well. I don't have alot of new pictures yet but we were taking a few last night and I will post them here. We just got a new camera for the office and I plan on catching up on some pictures this weekend if I can get the kids to cooperate with me.. haha

    Bring on the sausage legs!!!

How is it that this is sooo cute on babies but alas, once we get a wee bit older it is rather replusive??

Take a look at this cat...Bill or crazy Bill as we like to call him killed this during the deer season. It is a bobcat and he had the skin tanned. Is it just me or does this thing look like a freaked out cat that is about to have water dowsed on him?????

I will try to get on here later on this weekend and update in more detail some things that have been going on in our lives recently. May the Lord bless you all!

  • Finally Home From The Hospital !!!!

Well this is a quick update to let you all know we brought Jennifer home from the hospital last night.
I will have to update later in more detail about our eventful week but I have to get up to the house to take care of the lil man.

Jen is doing quite well and is on an oral antibiotic for the next week. She will have to take it easy and we will go back in a week to talk to the Dr about the surgery to remove her appendix which will probably be done in a few weeks..

I will post later and in more detail about what happened. Thank you all so much for your prayers and concern. It was so nice to be the recipients of such love and support from everyone!

Here are a few pictures from our time in the fancy hotel this week!!

  • The Mighty Hunters.....

So Rudy is in Florida with 3 of our girls at Ashley and Shannons house, he went there to take some pallets of stuff to them. While he was down there Ashley wanted to take him hog hunting, actually I think they hunted about anything that moved in that region from coyote, hog and crows to who knows what else.

Here are some pictures of the mighty hunters that Shannon sent my way...Take a look at the artillery they are using...You think the hogs were shakin in their skins????  (incase you can't see it too well they are foam shooters)

And for those of you who do not know, Rudy is the good looking guy on the left and Ashley is the goofball redneck on the right...

    Here we go again....

Well hope everyone is doing well, I have not updated here as Irene kindly pointed out because some of us have to work and don't have time to play... HAHA

Rudy left out this morning with 3 of the girls (Angela, Karen & Jennifer) to the North FL/South AL area. They are taking a load of BPS pallets to our new found friends Ashley & Shannon! I think Ashley is planning a hog hunt while they are there so needless to say Rudy is thrilled for the opportunity to do that.

Stephanie, Natalie, Ashley, Sean & I will man the fort and keep things afloat while half  of the family is gone. So outside of school, work, baby & house work things are pretty much the same.

With all the political things and economic things taking place it has been a real blessing for us to find a place of peace and trust before the Lord. As the Chris Tomlin song says:

"You placed the stars in the sky and you know them by name...You are amazing God."

We truly serve an amazing God that is going to allow things to happen that we may not always understand but His ways are not our ways and who can understand the mind of the Lord. So, take heart and courage the Lord is not done working and what can seem like very bleak times may turn out to be a real blessing in disguise.

Love to you all out there!

    My First Post...WOW

So here I am finally flapping my wings to fly around the great world of Xanga.
You ask what is new in the chickens house??? Well not much really. My rooster is off to work at an auction and the chics are going stir crazy in this cold gloomy weather! Thankfully they have room to spread out now.
The little prince is sleeping soundly for now so I am trying to add some content to this site so Steph does not go crazy .

I am still waiting for UPS to deliver my much needed antenna so I can have internet in the house so to get my fix I have brought the router in from the office for the weekend. My mission... is to get an about me page on our ebay store, fix my rudys sporting xanga page to reflect our business and try to make this page look better!

So..its now time for more coffee so I can accomplish more stupid things like this page

I'll be back later with more not so exciting news from our neck of the woods

In the meantime for your viewing pleasure... here are a few cute pics that Auntie Irene took the other day!!
