| Hello again everyone... I am in Orlando Florida for work for the next month pretty much nd I cant decide how I feel about it. I mean dont get me wrong its beautiful here and there is SO much to do and there are a bunch of us here so its fun but its just not the same without John. I MISS HIM! Its only the 6th and I dont get to see him until the 26th. Its like forever!!! | | |
| Reno is so interesting. There are so many different types of people here but they are all SO friendly. Much nicer than California folk. It just takes some time getting used to the weather. In the beggining of the week it was like blizzard snowing. Yesterday it was 62 and sunny with not a cloud in the sky! Being from California, 62 still sounds cold still but after living in the low 30's for the last 4 months I was walkin around with a t-shirt on. It was great to have some sun but I wish it had snowed for a little longer. Locals just get irritated with the snow. Its just something that hinders their busy schedules. But to us it is almost fun. I mean yeah we had to close the restaurant early and driving is totally scary but you have to appreciate the beauty of it all. We live in a freakin desert here! Its always dry and brown and ugly. Until it snows. Then it is white and amazingly...stunning. Suprisingly enough, even my dog loves it... Arent these pictures great! This is Bear whom I affectionately call bug. I thought he would hate the snow but every time I take him outside for a walk he loves it! We take a few steps and then he stops and eats the snow... then we take a few steps... and he eats more snow. This dogs life centers around anything he can eat!!! Its crazy! He will be 8 on march 17th and he is anemic so they put him on a steroid which makes him HUNGRY! In a few months of being on this pill he went from 7 lbs to 11 lbs! He gained more than half his body weight! I have to hide anything that he can eat from him and ration out his food! But he is such a little luv bug and oh so cute! Anyways, enough rambling. My husband is waiting to take me out to lunch and a movie so I must go! Talk to you soon... Amanda | | |
| Well hello there. I know its been forever since I was on here last so I will give you a quick update. John and I got married on November 20, 2005 in South Lake Tahoe. It was so much fun!! We stayed in a cabin on Heavenly for our honeymoon and I cannot wait to go back. I love the mountains! After we married we moved into a tiny 1 bedroom apartment together in Fairfield CA. We both started working for BJ's Brewery when it opened in Vacaville in Jan of 06. Myself as a server and John as a finished beer specialist. That first year of marriage was AMAZING! I have never grown so much and learned so much about myself any other time in my life accept for probably at TM. John is a wonderful man with a huge heart. He is probably the nicest person I have ever met in my life. And such a giver! I was truly blessed to find him. Anyways, after about a year John and I moved to Reno NV for a new BJ's Brewery. We have been here now for about 4 months. John is working part time at BJ's as a server and full time with Gold Coast Draft Inc., installing draft beer systems all over the US. I am working full time at BJ's bartending, supervising, serving, book keeping, and training. In November I also started regional training for the company so I get to travel to all of the new restaurant openings and train the staff. Its really a great company to work for and I love my jobs. Anyways, now that we are in Reno we live in the snow! Yay! And we can also go snowboarding ANYTIME WE WANT!!! Its such a blast but this Cali girl is havin a hard time gettin used to the cold! Its been a really dry winter though so I have only had to deal with it a little bit. As for John and I, we are lovin life. God has been good to us. We have definitely had our share of struggles but it only makes us stronger. No babies yet and probably not in the near future. I'd like to enjoy just my husbands company for at least another year before we start a family. Other than that there isnt too much to tell... Amanda | | |
| Its now official folks! WE ARE GETTING MARRIED!!! On September 3, 2005 John Joseph Accacian got down on one knee (in the hills in Berkley overlooking the entire bay area... oakland, san francisco, the bay brindge, the golden gate bridge, you can see it all!) and asked me to marry him!!! Through the tears I said yes and now we are planning our wedding for November 20, 2005! I cant wait, I am SO excited! You guys, I wish you all could know him like i know him. He is such a good man... | | |
