| Baby It's Cold OutsideWell, it's cold here and I'm stuck inside - lonely and bored. My mom and grandma were supposed to fly in this weekend, but thier flight was cancelled. I should probably be using this time to get ahead in my reading for classes but I just can't get motivated. Since we don't have class tomorrow I guess I'll just plan to read tomorrow and go ahead and be lazy today. I watched the first half of season 4 of Sex and the City yesterday so I might as well finish it today. And while I'm complaining about being bored and lonely, let me just go ahead and say how badly long distance relationships suck. Two and a half years is a really long time to be apart and it sucks. It just plain sucks. I'm obviously not in the best of moods today so if you have any happy thoughts or words of encouragement to share, they would be appreciated. Although, please refrain from telling me that it's all going to be okay, that this is all part of God's plan and I just have to trust that He is going to work everything out. I know that. I tell myself that every day and I know that I am extremely blessed to be where I am and to be with such an incredible guy. But any funny stories or crazy gossip would be great! | | |
| So it's been a while. I'm almost done with my first semester of law school. I take my last final today and 1:00 and cannot wait to have it over with. I leave here on Friday to see Elizabeth graduate, hang out with B.J. in Dallas for a couple days and then head down to TC! I have definitely not done any kind of Christmas shopping and really need to get out to the mall when I get home (which shouldn't be a problem since my mom, Traci, and I tend to go at least once a day!). Hope everyone has a great Christmas! | | |
| I went to Lubbock this weekend with my parents and we found an apartment! It's about a block and a half down the street from my aunt and uncle in a residential area so that's really nice. And they have a special rate for law students - $100 a month off of rent. So I'm getting a 2 bedroom 2 bath for less than I'm paying for my 1 bedroom here in Abilene. Now I just have to actually pack, which of course I hate doing. | | |
| Well, I made the decision. I'm going to law school at Texas Tech in the fall. I'm definitely a little scared and nervous but also definitely excited. I know this is an amazing opportunity which will open a lot of doors and I'm excited to see what God has planned for me in Lubbock. Plus, I hear the incredible Michael Hull will also be attending Tech for his Ph.D. so, really, what more could a girl ask for?! | | |
| So I realize it's been a long time. I admit I got distracted by myspace and facebook, but I'll always come back to xanga...where it all started.
Anyway, I can't believe the semester is almost over. I defended and passes my thesis, am done with debate tournaments, don't have any finals, and graduate with my master's degree on May 13th! This year went so fast. Unfortuenately, I have no idea what I'm going to do next so if you have any ideas I'm open to suggestions.
B.J. is in the living room waiting on me so I gues this is it for tonight. We just got back from walking and now we're going to continue watching the second season of Dawson's Creek! | | |
