| well haven't posted in forever but, in just under a year my dream is already coming true tonight!!!
... no i am not going on an amazing date, getting married, going to law school, starting a business, making money... none of that, but i am however playing music in a coffee shop!!! i will hopefully post pictures of me falling flat on my face, making a horrible representation of songs by such artists as hootie and the blowfish, the calling, and lifehouse. WOOT!!!

| wow this has been a really long week... however for quite possibly the first time in my life, I was kinda glad to have a longer week. this year has been going so fast that it was kinda nice to slow down. ah the beauty of learning to slow down and enjoy individual moments without looking forward. so I guess my point is to all those overachievers who subscribe to my blog (you know who you are) take time to actually enjoy life and stop living life just to prove yourself... you wouldn't believe what a difference it will make, because it makes room for God and it allows you to enjoy what He wants you to.

| School is really really awesome... ok now that thats out of the way I can write about it ;P
Monday is my first day playing in the praise band (I sing and I am the acoustic guitarist)... then wednesday we actually play in chapel. My voice kinda hurts right now on account that our choral director is a professional opera singer and is pushing me really hard, and through it I am actually learning so I am pumped. then I just couldn't stay away from speech and debate for too long... last week I ran a highschool coaching session, and then thursday I am going to debate parli and compete in impromptu at carson newman college. Its supposedly a one time deal for me, but it will be fun, cause I am debating with my first highschool debate partner from 4 years ago. GO FIGURE!
so anyway, God is amazing, as always... oh and I turn the not so interesting age of 19 on monday...
Finally I watched a good movie at school tonight... its called "everything is illuminated". so go check it out.

| Well today was my first day at my new school. It was amazing to go to the first class of the day and my professor opened class with a quote from john piper. Ok so I know to alot of you that means nothing, and still others it probably means that you would dislike the class and the school... however for me this was an amazing start, and it seemed God was saying, "Christopher, its ok, you can wrest now... take a break and breath in Me, breath in yourself, and breath in the life I have given to you.".
oh and another thing... all those people who say Crichton is not challenging accedemically seriously have not been there... especially in there Bible and performing arts department. No cake walk thats for sure. anyway, I am thrilled to look back at last semester and last year and see what I have been through and what God has taught me, and for the first time in life I truly look forward to tommorrow, not ten years from tommorrow, but actually tommorrow. Not because there's something special going on except that it is another day to lie in the everlasting arms of grace that are absolutely overwelming my very undeserving self!
