13 Ways to be the Shopper from Hell

2. Sample all the spray fresheners until the aisle reeks of the smell.

3. Re-dress all of the mannerquins as you see fit.

4.take shopping carts for the express purpose of filling them and stranding them at  strategic locations.

5.Set all the alarm clocks to go off in ten minute intervals throughout the day.

7. Challenge other customers to duels with the tubes of gift wrap.

8. Turn all the radio stations to a hard rock station, turn them off, then turn all the volumes to ten.

9.When someone ask if you need help, begin to cry and ask "Why wont you people just leave me alone?"

10. Re arrange the cd's by color coding them.

11. Relax on the patio furniture until you get kicked out.

My First Garage Sale

Today was my first ever garage sale that I held with my  friends Shantelle and Ry'n.. Two days of Hard work and  $100.00. = )

The idea of the garage sale was brought up by Shantelle, who got left with an apartment full of furniture, electronics, clothing and household utilities after her aunt took an all of a sudden move to the mainland a few weeks ago. The deal Shantelle had with her aunt was, everything she had left in the apartment belonged to Shantelle giving her the option to sell whatever she wanted to, as long as the apartment was empty, and keep all of the earnings.

All of my Friday, starting at 7am, was spent clearing out the apartment and getting every piece of furntiture out of there. This wasn't just a few shelves and cofee tables. A full sized futon bed, couple tv's, a sofa, shelves, a dining room set, a collection of books and trinkets, kitchen utensils and a treadmill to top it all off. Now when I say her aunt took an all of a sudden move, she Took an all of a sudden move. Books were still nicely shelved, photos hung nicely on the walls and an array of trinkets were all displayed all around the apartment. Our duty as a friend of Shantelle; box every little item and move all the furniture down to the rerntal trucks and transport them to the garage sale site. All in one day.

We concluded our day with a night out at Sansei's for some Sushi and not so bad Karaoke.

This morning, Shantelle called me at about 5:30 to help her set up for the garage sale.I finally woke up at about 6:30 and headed down with a few of my stuff I was hoping to make money on. The morning began pretty well, with a good load of people in a constant flow. I was hopiong I didnt over price some of my merchandise, As long as i got rid of it and made some money, I woul've been fine.Alot of my merchandise were clothing, and a few still even had tage on them. The interesting thing about garage sales, is that it's supposed to be the huge bargaining experience for some people. Now, if something is still brand new with tags still on them, and I price them for $5.00, I dont understand how people can even think of trying to negotiate a lower price. Lower than $5.00 for a brand new AX shirt? HELLOoooOoOo!Then there was the one who wanted two brand new shirts, which I had priced at $1.00 each to be brought down to $.50 each! ARE YOU F'ing Kiddnig me! Nonetheless, I did end up making $100.00 today and got rid of some junk that just took up space in my closet.

At the end of the day, we still had a few peices of furniture left, including the sofa,a T.V, and a dining set, so we just gave it away for free to some girls that had just moved to the islands and had no furniture in there house! We didn't know what else we were gonna do with the extra un sold furniture. They were so appreciative and we were totally releived that we got rid of everything.

After getting rid of most of the furniture, We all finally get the chance to go home and enjoy a long cleansing shower. trust me I was in desperate need of a shower. I could actually "FEEL" me smell  I STUNK! After my shower, Shantelle and I deliver one last peice of furniture to a friend. While Shantelle and I were delivering a last peice of furniture, we got a call from her sister, who was waiting in the emergency room.  There we began an interesting two hour adventure in the Maui Memorial Hospital Emrgency Room. When I say interesting, I mean it in a scary, dark comedy sort of way.

Now with just one more day left of my three days off, all I plan on doing is relaxing and sleeping in. I never knew garage sales can be so exhausting!

By the way if anyone see me anywhere anytime soon and im red, its cause ive been working my but off in the sun for the pass two days and I may have gotten a little burned! = )

MY CONFESSION

Every once in a while, my mom usually gathers alot of our old clothes and packs them up to send to the Philipines. During the whole process of digging through my old clothes, I came across a container of old documents that I collected throughout time.

Going through all these old papers, I found memorable stuff that dated back from fourth grade. A report on the Philipine Islands,a report on Navajo indians. I also found music sheets from when I was in our elementary chorus. Newspaper clippings from elementary school shows that I was in. I never realized how active I was back in the day and how much I liked being on stage.

As I went on to read more of my pass, I came across a stack of  notebook journals from sixth grade.  Everyday in english class, I remember my teahcer would always give us 10 minutes of journal writting time. While the rest of the class would write about what they did today, or what they want to be when they grow up, I entertained myself by writting long stories. Stories that took my imagination away from the classroom for a brief ten minute period. Everyday I would always continue my story and add on. Alot of my  earlier stories that I wrote were influenced by those hair-raising R.L Stine books "Goosebumps" and "Fear Street" Sagas.

I later found myself captivated by movies so much during middle school, that I began writting my own screen plays. Hoping someday that these screenplays would turn into real movies. I always had new idea for different story lines that I would never stick to just writting one screenplay.

As I continued to scan this container of all of my old work, I came across one particular screenplay. That turned out to be one of my biggest accomplishments in my life."Stolen Youth" A screenplay that I co-wrote and later on, I turned into a short film. This short film ended up taking home best High School Feature at the Hawaii State Student Film Festival in 2002.

Going through this box that carries alot of my childhood made me compare my lifestyle now to my lifestyle before I grew up.

My confession: If I could go back and re live my childhood; The days when I had the time to sit around and let my imagination roam freely in my head and write all of my thoughts down, the days when alot of my time was spent in the school library, and the days when going out at getting drunk three to four nights a week was un heard of. I WOULD. As much as I love the wonderful circle of friends that I have now, I know that it is my childhood that made me the person I am today and that person found this amazing group of friends.
