THE Return to Glory. The 2005 season under new head coach Charlie Weis.....8-2 and rolling into Pal Alto and into Tempe for a BCS Birth. GO IRISH, Beat the ladies from Stanford.

First game: @ Pitt

At this point in the season Notre Deam is unranked thanks to the past 3 shitty years the failure Ty Willingham coached through. Charlie takes control of an unrespected Irish team going into a ranked opponents house that dominated us in South Bend only a year ago. New Ownership, New Team.

Notre Dame 42 Pitt 21

Darius Walker runs all over the Panther defense

Rashon Powers-Neal breaks a tackle against Pitt. and takes it in for 6.

Darius Walker points out his next 6 points on Pitt.

Game 2: Now #20, the Irish travel into Ann Arbor to play hated #3 Michigan. With the command of Charlie Weis and the leadership of Junior QB Brady Quinn, Irish march all over the over ranked Michigan Wolverines and take a commanding 17-3 lead. Without much of a fight Notre Dame goes on to pull a then concidered major upset over Michigan in the Big House. Notre Dame 17 Michigan 10

Michigan running back Mike Hart quickly learns Notre Dame hits harder than the cake opponent N. Illinois Michigan played the week prior. Less than four minutes into the game Mike Hart was out of the game and a few games there after.

Jeff Samardzija pulls in a touchdown on the first drive of the game for Notre Dame to take a 7-0 lead.

Jeff Samardzija again makes a big catch on Michigan.

Tom Zbikowski intercepts a Chad Henne pass intended for a wolverine touchdown and runs it back to the 30 yard line.

Darius Walker runs all over Michigan.

Notre Dame salutes the ND students and fans who watched the upset take place.

Game 3: Michigan State @ Notre Dame
A confident Notre Dame team plays at home for the first time against a (at that point in the season) hot Michigan State team with nothing to lose. The Irish have a very flat first half and get down early . Going into the 4th quarter Notre Dame is down big and to everyone's suprise, instead of giving up like the Irish under Willingham would have, Notre Dame battled back to put the game into overtime. A great game ended on a perfectly executed play by Michigan State to hand Notre Dame it's first loss of the season. Notre Dame 41 Michigan State 44 (OT)

The touchdown late to tie the game by Jeff Samardzija

Game 4: The TY Bowl. The new Notre Dame faces off against the Old Notre Dame's coach Ty Willingham at his new head coaching position in Washington. The incompatent Ty Willingham quickly fell behind the superior coaching skills of Charlie Weis and the talented (thanks to Weis) players of the Irish. Controlling the entire game from start to finish, Notre Dame dismantled the Washington Huskies at their own house. Washington Finished the season under Ty Willingham's first year of leadership with a 2 win and 9 loss year. Weis will finish the exact opposite at 9-2 and has garunteed Notre Dame a BCS birth and recruited one of the top 3 recruiting classes in the nation for next season. Good luck Willingham....this just proves no matter what color you are, you can still suck at coaching.
Notre Dame 36 Washington 17

Stovall makes an outstanding grab against the Huskies.

Darius Walker runs all over the Washington Defense for 4 quarters.

Rashon Powers-Neal plows through the Washington red-zone D to put 6 on the board for Notre Dame.

Anthony Fasano pulls a "heisman" move on a Husky defender.

Jeff Samardzija breaks away from his defender to score for Notre Dame.

Game 5: Notre Dame @ Purdue

After getting rocked by Purdue last year in South Bend, Charlie Weis has some revenge to take out on the Boilermakers. He wanted them to realize he was the new coach and this was a new team. Purdue went into the half down 28-0 and the Irish crused to victory over Purdue at their own house.
Notre Dame 49 Purdue 28

Jeff Samardzija makes the catch of the year against Purdue and scores for his 5th game in a row.

The Irish storm the field at Purdue and efficiantly take care of the Biolermakers.

Maurice Stovall dives across the goaline to score for Notre Dame.

Darius Walker runs all over Purdue's defense.

Point proven. Walker breaks a tackle and makes a big gain.

Game 6: #1 USC @ #9 Notre Dame (THE GAME OF THE SEASON)

An electrifying atmosphere gathored in South Bend for the game of the season between two of the best programs in the nation. USC carried an untested 30-some game win streak into Notre Dame Stadium and expected to beat the Irish like they had beaten them the last three years (to death). Charlie Weis gave USC the closest call they have seen till this day and thanks to a few ref screw ups in the end and a push from Reggie Bush , Matt Leinart had a few seconds to fall into the endzone to beat the Irish at the end of the game. A very interesting and contraveral ending still did not cloud the fact that it was the best game of the entire season in all of the NCAA. Notre Dame 31 USC 34

The Green Jersey's appear for the instant classic against USC.

Jeff Samardzija pulls in the first touchdown for Notre Dame on the day.

Darius Walker beats a USC defender to the corner and takes the ball down field.

Zbikowaski runs a punt back on USC to make it 21-7 Notre Dame

Stovall makes a diving catch against USC

The infamous fumble at the end of the game.

Game 7: BYU @ Notre Dame

The Cougars marched into South Bend after beating the Irish in the season opener last year. Again just like every game this season, Charlie had to right a wrong created by Ty Willingham. On a stormy day following the biggest weekend in South Bend in a long time, the game went on under the radar of the national spot light. Notre Dame didn't mind however, they played BYU into the ground and got revenge with a decisive win.
Notre Dame 49 BYU 23

Notre Dame takes the field against BYU.

Stovall halls in the first touchdown of the day for the Irish. He has his biggest game of the season.

Stovall and Samardzija celebrate a touchdown.

Stovall runs in a big reception for a touchdown.

Trevor Laws makes it a painful saturday for BYU's QB.

Stovall doing what he does best.

Stovall scores his second touchdown.

Samardzija scores a touchdown easily on a catch and run.

Brandon Hoyte and the Irish celebrate a win over the Cougars.

Game 8: Tennessee @ Notre Dame

Tennessee was concidered the best defense the Irish would have to face this season, and proved to be a formidable opponent. The Irish jumped to a quick 21-0 lead and by the 3rd quarter found that Tennessee had caught their initial advance and put the game at 24-21 in favor of the Irish. No problem for Charlie and his hi-powered offense however, the Fightin' Irish posted 20 unanswered points to end out the game.
Notre Dame 41 Tennessee 21

Tight End Anthony Fasano dives in for the first touchdown of the game after running with it for 35 yards.

Maurice Stovall makes a circus catch for the second score for the Irish.

Stovall and Samardzija jump high to celebrate Stovall's grab in the endzone.

Tennessee gets herrassed all day by the Irish D.

Tom Zbikowski runs back a punt for a touchdown for the second time this season.

Zbikowski intercepts a pass and runs it back for a touchdown late in the game for his second score.

Game 9: Navy @ Notre Dame
A very respected team came into South Bend not having beaten the Irish in over 40 meetings. Notre Dame understood that the seniors on the Navy squad wouldn't be looking to go pro after their final season, but they would be looking at the sandy landscape of the Middle East. In a show of class Weis had his players join the Midshipmen at the end of the contest in a singing of the Navy fight song a salute to the cadets who traveled to see the game.
Notre Dame 42 Navy 21

Maurice Stovall jumps up and snags the ball with one hand to score in the back of the endzone on the over matched Navy Midshipmen.

Freshman Asap Schwapp breaks a tackle from a Navy defender and gets a big gain.

Darius Walker takes a run in for a touchdown against the Middies.

In a clash of similiar uniforms, the Navy Notre Dame game turned into gold on gold homicide.

Tom Zbikowski (#9) and Maurice Stovall (#21) salute the cadets and the Irish faithful who watched the game.

Game 10: Syracuse @ Notre Dame
The Orange came into South Bend with a 1-8 record and nothing to lose. After a slow start from the Irish and no touchdown in the first quarter for the first time all season, Notre Dame rolled to an easy victory over Syracuse making them 1-9 and the Irish 8-2.
Notre Dame 34 Syracuse 10

Darius Walker breaks his longest run of the season down the side line to set up Notre Dame with great field position.

Stovall makes an amazing grab for the first score of the game.

Darius runs away with the game.

Jeff Samardzija scores a touchdown against the Orange.

Notre Dame seniors enjoy their last home game as Irish players.

Next week : @ Stanford.
Charlie and the Fightin' Irish are BCS Bowl bound and have finally returned to glory.

He can expect that a lot more in the future.

Go Irish

Senior year has been a suprise, but so has every other year of high school. When I was a freshman, I could have never predicted where I'm at right now. It has all been worth it and the best thing I can say about High School would be that I will be leaving it without any regrets. Everything fell into place and I've never been happier.

Nervous about this weekend.....#1 USC @ #8 Notre Dame, should be a hell of a game.

predictions: White Sox vrs. Cardinals in the World Series Championship, Cardinals win it all as much as I don't want them to. Lions finish with a winning record, no thanks to Harrington. Michigan will beat Penn State proving the Big Ten to be completely worthless when it comes to producing an undefeated national champion contender. Texas wins the NCAA Football Championship.

8 days until one year, I love you Kaitlynn.

#13 Notre Dame 36
Washington 17

Yeah fuck you Ty Willingham. You blame you're inability to coach on your race????? You got fired from Notre Dame because you fucking suck as a football coach and human being in general. You are now 1-3 at Washington, you even lost to fucking Air Force. Do Washington a favor and die.

Great weekend. Life is amazing

Go IRISH 3-1

#10 Notre Dame 41
Michigan State 44 (O.T.) Amazing game.

Next week : @ Washington (Weis Meets Ty.....and Ty will lose)

What a friday night. Witnessed a kid get his head smashed into a store window, saw a really shitty game against Lincoln, got questioned if I knew a kid named Adam by an angry group of ghetto hispanics and then witnessed Adam on the floor of a Starbucks bleeding because of a cut....gee I wonder if that's related, and that was about all outside of the norm.....

Saturday was interesting because Notre Dame and Michigan State went into overtime, and it was easily the best game i've seen this season so far. I never expected ND to go undefeated because they are not good enough to with their schedule, but I still think they will go either 9-2 or 8-3 and by the way, damn Michigan State looks really good. I did say they would win the Big Ten, but I was just being hopeful. Now i'm thinking they have a pretty damn good shot.

This weekend was good and life is great so yeah, not much else.
