First game: @ Pitt
At this point in the season Notre Deam is unranked thanks to the past 3 shitty years the failure Ty Willingham coached through. Charlie takes control of an unrespected Irish team going into a ranked opponents house that dominated us in South Bend only a year ago. New Ownership, New Team.

Game 2: Now #20, the Irish travel into Ann Arbor to play hated #3 Michigan. With the command of Charlie Weis and the leadership of Junior QB Brady Quinn, Irish march all over the over ranked Michigan Wolverines and take a commanding 17-3 lead. Without much of a fight Notre Dame goes on to pull a then concidered major upset over Michigan in the Big House. Notre Dame 17 Michigan 10
Michigan running back Mike Hart quickly learns Notre Dame hits harder than the cake opponent N. Illinois Michigan played the week prior. Less than four minutes into the game Mike Hart was out of the game and a few games there after.

Game 3: Michigan State @ Notre Dame
A confident Notre Dame team plays at home for the first time against a (at that point in the season) hot Michigan State team with nothing to lose. The Irish have a very flat first half and get down early . Going into the 4th quarter Notre Dame is down big and to everyone's suprise, instead of giving up like the Irish under Willingham would have, Notre Dame battled back to put the game into overtime. A great game ended on a perfectly executed play by Michigan State to hand Notre Dame it's first loss of the season. Notre Dame 41 Michigan State 44 (OT)

Game 4: The TY Bowl. The new Notre Dame faces off against the Old Notre Dame's coach Ty Willingham at his new head coaching position in Washington. The incompatent Ty Willingham quickly fell behind the superior coaching skills of Charlie Weis and the talented (thanks to Weis) players of the Irish. Controlling the entire game from start to finish, Notre Dame dismantled the Washington Huskies at their own house. Washington Finished the season under Ty Willingham's first year of leadership with a 2 win and 9 loss year. Weis will finish the exact opposite at 9-2 and has garunteed Notre Dame a BCS birth and recruited one of the top 3 recruiting classes in the nation for next season. Good luck Willingham....this just proves no matter what color you are, you can still suck at coaching.

Game 5: Notre Dame @ Purdue
After getting rocked by Purdue last year in South Bend, Charlie Weis has some revenge to take out on the Boilermakers. He wanted them to realize he was the new coach and this was a new team. Purdue went into the half down 28-0 and the Irish crused to victory over Purdue at their own house.

Game 6: #1 USC @ #9 Notre Dame (THE GAME OF THE SEASON)
An electrifying atmosphere gathored in South Bend for the game of the season between two of the best programs in the nation. USC carried an untested 30-some game win streak into Notre Dame Stadium and expected to beat the Irish like they had beaten them the last three years (to death). Charlie Weis gave USC the closest call they have seen till this day and thanks to a few ref screw ups in the end and a push from Reggie Bush , Matt Leinart had a few seconds to fall into the endzone to beat the Irish at the end of the game. A very interesting and contraveral ending still did not cloud the fact that it was the best game of the entire season in all of the NCAA. Notre Dame 31 USC 34

Game 7: BYU @ Notre Dame
The Cougars marched into South Bend after beating the Irish in the season opener last year. Again just like every game this season, Charlie had to right a wrong created by Ty Willingham. On a stormy day following the biggest weekend in South Bend in a long time, the game went on under the radar of the national spot light. Notre Dame didn't mind however, they played BYU into the ground and got revenge with a decisive win.

Game 8: Tennessee @ Notre Dame
Tennessee was concidered the best defense the Irish would have to face this season, and proved to be a formidable opponent. The Irish jumped to a quick 21-0 lead and by the 3rd quarter found that Tennessee had caught their initial advance and put the game at 24-21 in favor of the Irish. No problem for Charlie and his hi-powered offense however, the Fightin' Irish posted 20 unanswered points to end out the game.

Game 9: Navy @ Notre Dame
A very respected team came into South Bend not having beaten the Irish in over 40 meetings. Notre Dame understood that the seniors on the Navy squad wouldn't be looking to go pro after their final season, but they would be looking at the sandy landscape of the Middle East. In a show of class Weis had his players join the Midshipmen at the end of the contest in a singing of the Navy fight song a salute to the cadets who traveled to see the game.

Game 10: Syracuse @ Notre Dame
The Orange came into South Bend with a 1-8 record and nothing to lose. After a slow start from the Irish and no touchdown in the first quarter for the first time all season, Notre Dame rolled to an easy victory over Syracuse making them 1-9 and the Irish 8-2.
