| How to Kill WartsHopefully this doesn't gross anyone out, but I found a really easy way to get rid of warts!
I was getting a few warts last year, and they were getting annoying, so I started searching with Google for a way to get rid of them. I came across lots of testimonies of using apple cider vinegar to kill them. That sounds pretty natural - how exciting! I've done it successfully three times now!
Basically, you just take a little piece of cotton (like off a q-tip), soak it in apple cider vinegar, and then use a band-aid to hold it on your wart overnight. Your wart may appear to have grown by morning, but don't worry - that's just because it soaked up the vinegar. Do this every night for about a week (don't need it in the daytime), and the wart will start to turn black inside (it is dying). Keep on doing it, and a few days later you will be able to start peeling it off. By two weeks, it should be gone. It really is so easy!

| Mt. Bachelor Free Ski Day #2 Since the first free ski day in February turned out to be blizzard
conditions, Mt. Bachelor decided to offer another free day in April.
This time we only had eight people in our group from the Woodland area.
For those of you who don’t know, Mt. Bachelor offers a free ski day
each year where skiers donate three cans of food in exchange for a free
lift ticket. The donated food goes to help low-income people in Oregon.
Sometimes the free day is a little crowded, but this time it wasn’t!
People must be focusing on spring activities and didn’t want to go
skiing or something.
We
left Woodland about 3:30 a.m. and arrived at the mountain around 8:30,
just 30 minutes before opening. The weather was amazing! Sunny skies
and not much wind! The mountain had been getting fresh snow the
previous week, so the weather and snow conditions were just awesome.
Matthew L. and I climbed all the way to the summit and snowboarded down
a double black diamond run. So fun! By afternoon, skiing in t-shirts
was quite refreshing after sweating in the lift lines. Because of the
nice weather, I was able to get lots of pictures and videos!
On the way home, we stopped in Redmond to do a bit of city caving. All in all, this was a VERY fun day.

| Spring SkiingLast Saturday I was invited to go snowboarding at Mt. Hood Meadows. It was a beautiful day, and the snow was powdery, a very rare combination. We had a blast, and some of us learned that SPF 50 sunscreen isn't a bad idea after all!
