  • This is Karolina Kurkova.

A Czech born supermodel best known for being a Victoria's Secret Angel and one of the world's top earning supermodels.

    13

She was recently slammed for being too fat for the runway after a fashion show in Brazil where this series of pictures below were taken.

On the contrary, I think she looks great. The average woman on the street would kill to have a body like that. I think its a great change from the waif like, stick-thin models that dominate the fashion industry. A good friend of mine once complained, "Men that like stick-thin anorexic models with no boobs or butt are pedofiles (child molester) because they like women with bodies of a 12 year old girl!" The fashion industry should really turn the mirror on itself and redefine its perception of beauty because it is obviously distorted and unhealthy.

Because to me this is beautiful...

Do you love Singaporen food too?

My week's stay in the Lion City only enabled me to skim the surface of the delicacies offered in this food lovers paradise. Every bite of food is a tease to my taste buds, yearning for me to come back for more. Singaporean food, like its people is a melting pot of flavours derived from the cultures of the people that live there. The food offered here is the ultimate fusion of Indian, Chinese, Malay and Southeast Asian cuisine - the prefect fusion as I would call it, unique to this part of the world. The great thing about Singapore is for less than US$10, you can fill yourself up with the most delicious food at any local hawker centre (just don't expect 5 star restaurant service or air-conditioning).

So here we have it, the last installment of my Singaporean food escapade.

Verged off the beaten path to visit Taiwanese chain restaurant, Din Tai Fung to taste their renowned xiao lung pao.

    But first the entree...

Sliced seaweed with vermecelli noodles and sliced tofu, garnished with black vinegar.

Soooooooo good! The soup from the pork fillings is still twirling inside.

  • Down with a Flu...

Thanks to Fats (my younger brother) who helped spread the flu germs by blowing his nose until the germ infested mucus drips down to his lips, and only then wipes it off with tissue. I am currently bed-ridden and cultivating flu germs myself. Deprived of my stash of anime and Japanese drama to watch I resorted to my alternative source of solitary entertainment - blogging.

    Coming back home to Brunei...

As expected nothing much has changed here. Life is still very slow-paced and insanely relaxing. I flew back from Singapore just in time for my Granny's 74th birthday. This is my Bruneian Grandma who is just as hot as my Ipoh Grandma from the previous blog post (yes the one sporting the chic Dior sunglasses).

Dining with 7 hungry wolves family members means fighting eager chopsticks from the food before I got my share of food pictures. A mission I have been unsuccessful at for 6 out of the 8 dishes ordered, I only managed to capture good and bloggable photos of only 2 dishes!

    But here they are anyways....

    Delicious crispy fried noodles

Yam aka Taro Bowl - The yam is used to make the bowl like structure holdling the fillings of peanuts, chicken and assorted vegetables. This mouth-watering dish is a favourite of my granny's and the reason we visited this restaurant.
