So, I was walking along the beach one day and I saw this big, giant orange...

TAG GAME

THE RULES: Each player of this game starts with the 6 weird things about you. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 6 weird things as well as state the rules clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave a comment that says you are tagged in their comments and tell them to read your blog.

1. I went to an Amsterdam coffeehouse once and I thought it would be funny and ironic to get some coffee (considering that Amsterdam coffeehouses certainly aren't known for their lattes) but I got too uncomfortable when the workerman brought out his "special" menu where every item was laced with a certain sumthin-sumthin.

2. I just wrote sumthin-sumthin because I can't remember what drug it was. I know it's famous. Probably marijuana. And is that the same as weed? I just don't know. In summation, I have a terrible memory.

3. The first all-nighters I pulled for my freshman year occurred on two ironic evenings: Good Friday Eve (where Jesus would have been up all night) and April 14, the day the Titanic sank (where everyone would have been awake all night, too!)... I always thought that was strange.

4. The flavor of green apple makes me want to kiss someone. I have absolutely no idea why.

5. When I was London, I kept getting that song Chim-Chim Cherree stuck in my head because everything around me reminded me of Mary Poppins.

6. The first day I was in Greece, I was too cheap to buy a meal so I simply ate a big pack of cookies that only cost 2 euros. And I thought that I was lost so i took a cab... the place was right around the corner. And I sat outside on the street for about 5 hours reading Angels & Demons and journaling, waiting for my friends to get there.

I tag Anette-Marie, Hilary, my mom, Jeannie, Ian, and Anne!

Tonight= Simple, Yet One of the best nights ever...

So, you know how everyone in Missouri jokes about its crazy weather. Today compared to Yesterday is the perfect example of this.
Yesterday= 70's. I wore shorts, a t-shirt, and flip-flops all day! Did I mention this is November?!? ... and my favorite weather of all time.
Today= 50's and drizzly.
Tonight= walking home from Java Co, I experienced the 5 minute shift from cold drizzle, to the sound of a more solidified drizzle, to SNOW!!!! It was this beautiful snow, lightly falling, but fairly thick, especially for a first snow. In the midst of an incredibly busy and monotonous weekend of writing two research papers, I welcomed this as a wonderful reminder of God's beauty and impeccable timing. I walked home with the most ridiculously big smile, taking it all in. Sure I have to write a whole, whole lot still, but it's SNOWING, and I experienced the first of it! Therefore, I'm a very happy panda... God is good.

If my life were a soundtrack...

I saw this on my friend's xanga and I thought it was interesting. So, go ahead and do it yourself, and see what you find out about yourself... and perhaps your future... but not really... but maybe...

If my life were a sound track...

So, here's how it works:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Don't lie and try to pretend your cool...

Opening Credits: Soul Survivor-- Young Jeezy
Waking Up: Promise-- Violent Femmes
First Day At School: Noah's Song-- Watermark
Falling In Love: Blackened Blue Eyes-- The Charlatans UK (Yikes!)
Fight Song: All I Care About-- Richard Gere from the Chicago soundtrack
Breaking Up: Be Glorified In Me-- Chris Tomlin (very strange)
Prom: Cry-- Faith Hill (Hmm, I don't really remember this memory...)
Life: Take Me Back-- Point of Grace (Cheesy, but so very, very true.)
Mental Breakdown: Thou Art Worthy -- from my Old School Worship Mix cd
Driving: Art in Me-- Jars of Clay
Flashback: Nowadays (Roxie)-- Renee Zellweger from the Chicago soundtrack
Wedding: Climb On (A Back That's Strong)-- Caedmon's Call (GOOD CALL, Shuffle... I don't know if I would have chosen better on my own!)
Birth of Child: We Can Get There-- Mary Griffin from the Coyote Ugly soundtrack
Final Battle: So Kill Me-- MxPx (HAHA... seriously! Though I don't think I've ever heard it before...)
Death Scene: Jingle Bells-- Barenaked Ladies (haha, again)
Funeral Song: Red Storm Rising Song 2-- BSHS Golden Regiment 2002 (Yes, I am just that cool.)
End Credit: Take a Picture-- Filter

In summary, this was seriously entertaining. And I have too much music that I never listen to.

Holy cow... you don't post for a few months, then all of a sudden, everything is different!

Well, I don't really know what to say except that life is going smooth-sailing right now. Today, I enjoyed every single one of my classes. I don't know if I'll be saying that everyday, or even at the end of the semester, but today, I will relish in the fact that life doesn't suck just yet. ;) My roommate is hovering on the decision to either stay at Truman, or quit and become a hobo. I think she's choosing her poncho color as we speak...

Reading: C.S. Lewis' Screwtape Letters (= EXCELLENT read!);
Phillippians... Here's an excerpt: And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. -- v 1:9-11.

Listening: Regina Spektor... and here's a wonderful quote from her song Ghost of Corporate Future: Maybe you should kiss someone nice, or lick a rock, or both. Maybe you should cut your own hair, 'Cause that can be so funny, It doesn't cost any money, And it always grows back, Hair grows even after you're dead. And people are just people, They shouldn't make you nervous. The world is everlasting, It's coming and it's going. The world is everlasting. Put dirtballs in your pocket, Put dirtballs in your pocket, And take off both your shoes. 'Cause people are just people,People are just people, People are just people like you.

Alright... it's true. Once again, I'm procrastinating. I'm fascinated by the Footprints feature on here... it creeps me out that there is someone in California that keeps searching and getting my xanga though... eek. SO, I got curious and google'd Meago521... that just got me, so I tried Meago. And this is one site that I got...

MEAGO
There may be times when you wish to let participants know they can “opt out” of something
without embarassment. This can be useful when:
- an individual’s attention drifted at a time when they are called upon to answer a
question;
- a question or problem may be difficult or the answer unknown to the participant; or
- individuals need to be put at ease in advance of a session by knowing they can “pass”
on a response.
One way to do this is to give participants a “MEAGO,” in the form of a small candy bar. MEAGO
stands for: My Eyes Are Glazed Over. The MEAGO is good for one “pass” during the session. To
use it, a participant will give the candy bar to another participant who responds in the first
participant’s place.
If people wish, they can eat their MEAGO.

I just about died laughing. I hope that makes sense. Actually I don't, because it really doesn't. All I know is that my nickname stands for "My Eyes Are Glazed Over." And that's just plain funny. THE END.
