  • Where did the summer go?  It's September and it's cold already.  Or at least the past few days have been becuase of all of the rain.  Schoool is back in full swing and we're crazy busy but that's okay. I thrive well on crazy busy.  Ha.

I worked last night.  Got home, showered and laid down by 7:15.  (Living only a mile from work is soo nice when you work nights).  Woke up ever so briefly at 9:30 when the boys left for work/school/.  Woke up again at 11:45 and could not go back to sleep.  So aggrivating.  If I didn't have to work tonight I would have just gone with it.  So I tried to sleep for a few minutes and decided that I couldn't at that point so I called Jeremy and he and Judah came home for lunch.  Lunch is kind of an understatement.  Jeremy and I each had a blueberry bagel with cream cheese and Judah had a handful of frozen corn.  I guess none of us were super hungry.  Jeremy went back to work around 1 and then Judah and I napped from 1:45-4:00.  I feel better now.

Last week I got some random rash- not entirely sure what it is but I'm pretty sure it's poison ivy.  I'm still itching some.  Finally decided to risk spreading it and shaved my legs this morning.  I seriously think all the hair was making it itch worse!  haha.

I have to go back to work in an hour, so I guess I should get out of PJ's, do something to my hair and decide on something for dinner.

  • My parents came down for the weekend.  It was fun but they wore me out.  My dad is always on the go and I swear only sat on the couch if it was after 9:00pm.  I just wanted to RELAX.  Oh well, they helped us do some work in the yard that was very much appreciated.  And then they have to always buy him a toy when they come.  I promise I'm not ungrateful but seriously, them visiting was enough.  We have plenty of toys!  (My dad got him this hand held bubble blower when we ate at Cracker Barrel today).

So for the past four hours I've hardly left the couch.  I think I've watched more TV today than I watched in the past month.  Mostly Curious George and Sesame Street thoguh.  Usually I just turn those on for Judah when I want to get some stuff done around the house and don't want Judah behind me un-doing all the things I've picked up or what not.

I hardly did any reading this weekend.  The main class that we have tons of chapters assigned for each week is cancelled this week (yay!) so I didn't really do much class work.  Only 8.5 more months of college, hooray!  And more exciting (actually, it's probably equally exciting to me!): only 8.5 months til we can try to get pregnant again!!

  • Me: Judah, what are you doing?
Judah: (running around in circles and jumping every now and then) I'm doing my stretches.
Me: Well it looks like you are doing gymnastics.
Judah: No, I not doing 'nastics.  I'm doing my stretches.  See? (as he runs around some more)  Guy 'nastics do stretches too, 'member Mommy.
Me: Yes I do remember that, why don't you sit down and finish your sandwhich and corn.
Judah: (walks over to his table and looks at his food) No, I not very hungry anymore.  (runs to bathroom) Mommy, I want a bath.  Mommy, I want a bath.  Mommy, I want a bath!

*sigh* He's too cute.  But I'd really like for him to finish his sandwich.  Oh, he just came back into the living room (with a bath toy) and now he's playing his new Barney guitar.  Perhaps there is still some ounce of hope for the food to make it into his mouth.  He also came out of the bathroom nekkid.  That boy loves being nekkid.

He got his Barney guitar at Toys R Us.  He got a gift card for his birthday and we finally got around to using it.  He was very excited to go and pick out a toy.  He rarely watches Barney but he kept telling me he wanted a Barney toy.

  • I ran 7 miles last night!  It's amazing how quickly they go by when you are talking to a friend the whole time.  We even picked up our pace from our previous 4 mile runs.  I think I need to start looking into some new shoes though, I got a blister.  Hopefully some insoles will help that until I find what shoes I'm looking for... I've always ran in Nikes, the shoes I have now are Adidas and I've heard really good things about running shoes for New Balance, Asics and Saucony.  So I guess I have some research to do.  I'm starting to think that I should do the full marathon in November instead of the half, but Jeremy says that crazy and that I should stick with the half this time.  That's probably what I'll do but I haven't even completed a half and I'm already itching to do a full.

I'm about to head out to work.  It'll be a good day, (I hope).

  • Why is it that Judah will sleep until 9:30 when Jeremy is the one getting up with him, but when I am getting up with him, he wakes up at 7:25?  Jeremy was gone all night at a youth group lock-in, so I was able to convince Judah to stay in bed until Jeremy got home and took a shower and climbed into bed- at 7:50 and then Judah talked to Jeremy for about .25 second and then he was throwing the blankets off of me and telling me I had to get up.  *sigh*  I got plenty of sleep but now I'm really glad that I went to bed early instead of staying up and reading more/watching the Olympics.

I think we're going to venture out to the mall today.  Old Navy is having a denim sale and I'd like to get Judah one or two pairs of jeans. He's got two pair of 3T's that aren't going to last much past September, I'm afriad.  He's also got a pair of 4T's that are too long, but we can cuff those until he hits another growth spurt.  I don't think he's ever had any Old Navy jeans, so we'll have to see what size he is wearing there.

We'll also try to hit Toys R Us and use his gift card from his birthday.  That'll be fun but not so fun explaining the fact that he has to get a small toy and not a toy that costs $100. :)  It'll be good to get out of the house so that it'll stay quiet for Jeremy.  And hopefully Judah will nap so that I can have some sleep before work today.

Funny- I just told Judah to pick out some clothes so we could go to the mall and to Toys R Us and he smiled big and said, "And I can get a Barney toy????!!!??"
