Interests: Interior design, art, music (classical and all other sorts except rap, heavy metal) violin, cello (I'm hoping to take it up soon--due to my TMJ --which is a slight jaw problem for those who aren't familiar with it...the neck position for playing the violin is hard on your neck and back...makes the pain worse. So since I love the cello and I want to stay in the strings family, I've been thinking about playing it as soon as I get one! :) Did you know the cello is the instrument which most resembles the human voice? I gues that's why I like it so much!) I love travelling, staying home cozy in the winter...skiing, figure skating, volleyball, mountain hiking, well, sports of all kinds basically! I also love gourmet cooking. My dad's first job was as a French chef (he is French), trained by one of the top 10 chefs in France! He's a wonderful, godly man, and a wonderful leader. Expertise: Ummm...well, what to say? I have a little expertise in interior design, but I am not done learning yet! :) I speak French fluently....I have lived in, and learned, 3 different cultures....I can cook gourmet food, though my French chef dad is still training me.... I helped teach my little sister (I was 13 when she was born!) how to read. Hmmm...does all this "life expereience" qualify as expertise?? I dunno..:)

| I LOVE this book by Gene Stratton Porter!! (Freckles; see picture above--you can click on it to go to Amazon.com and buy it.) I love all her books, or all the ones I've read so far anyway. For once here is an author who takes real life hardships but shows how with spirit, grit, and God's help, you can become something great, and lead a wonderful life. She has a very descriptive writing style, and a penchant for nature and woods and birds and butterflies.  I highly recommend her literary works.  | | |
| Hey y'all! We are off on Monday to "Les 2 Alpes" for 3 days of skiing!! I hope it's sunny! Last year we skied only once. The year before that I couldn't ski because of my reconstructive knee surgery...(that's what comes from playing soccer too hard, in the rain, with tennis shoes-- a severed ACL!!) | Hi! Can someone who has a better grasp of Latin tell me if I have spelled my blog name correctly? To say "My World", is it correct to put the "Mei" in front of "Mundus"? Thanks-a-million!
