This xanga is dead and, from the smell of it, slowly decomposing.

The only reason I'm posting at all is because of a conversation had recently with the sister, and I am hoping this will freak her out.  Booga booga.  You are probably the only one who will read this.

I have been trying to write something, anything, on my screenplay-which-is-due-Tuesday since 3 p.m. and have gotten less than nowhere, and whether that is because I hate the "plot" or because I have a mental block, I don't know.

I just think it should be noted that every time (which amounts to about three times in the past three years) that I think to look at one of those adult ADD checklists, the results strongly imply I should consult with a professional.  Which really just gives me an excuse to never finish anything and can't be healthy.  And would also explain nights like this.

In any case, now that I'm nice and jittery in that "must do something or I will leap out the window just to see what happens" sort of way, I think I'm going to give my screenplay another try.

Or not.

As per Zeba/dustygrand:

That 20 facts meme thing, except I'm going to be a party pooper and not tag anyone to do it after.

1. I am listening to Liz Phair.

2. I met Neil Gaiman last Monday.

3. My favorite band is stopping touring after this year, so I'll likely never see them in concert.

4. I can tell the difference between 55% and 65% cocoa in dark chocolate.

5. I am a geek.

6. Neil Gaiman is my absolute big-time freak-out hero.  So #2 up there was pretty much the high point of my life so far.

7. I saw Corpse Bride this afternoon.

8. I'm probably still not going to update this with any sort of regularity, but I will update that link in my last entry (http://www.livejournal.com/users/theartofdreams)

9. I don't want kids.

10.  I think my nephew is possibly the cutest child ever.

11. I wish I could go back in time and see Paganini perform.

12.  I love Beowulf.

13. I believe that if you hate Beowulf, you just haven't read the Seamus Heaney translation.

14.  I have had a signed copy of the newest Neil Gaiman book since I saw him on Monday, and I'm only on page 25, and therefore I hate college, arg.

15.  I plan on studying in Spain for a semester, and interning at a publishing house in Boston for a summer.

16.  The closest thing I have to a crush currently is thinking that maybe I should work on seducing someone from home when I'm there on breaks this year.

17.  I miss everyone from home, to one degree or another.

18.  I still wish I had my mother's maiden name; Martinez is much prettier of a last name.

19.  I love healthy food.  I long for fresh produce and organic food.  Mmm.

20.  No, dude, seriously. I met Neil Gaiman.

Just kidding!  Have a 40 hr/wk job, from the looks of it.  Maybe I added up wrong, but I'm scheduled for 44 hrs/wk, starting the 21st I did add wrong, and that's why I'm not a math major.  Still in training right now.  But hey! At least it's $10/hr, so I'm thinking of just cashing all the checks, fillin up a kiddie pool with the bills, and bathing in it.

And it's a desk jobby, on the phone doing outboud collection calls (ugh.), so feel free to text me, and I can text you back when my sup isn't around.  Text me the most random things ever!  If you don't have my number, um, ask.

I am a book-buying fiend.  A book-buying fiend on a historical murder mystery kick.  Hooray for library booksales!

I have so much reading I want to do, and so little time now to do it.  Alas!  I am so sad.

PS If you want to go see a movie, call me, because chances are I do too.  Am so missing movies in theatres.
Currently Playing: Avenue Q (2003 Original Broadway Cast)
- I Wish I Could Go Back to College
