June 28th
Today was my second day of my motorcycle class, one that my son Aaron highly recommended when I got my 50cc Scooter. My friend Laura has been calling it scooter school for weeks, in anticipation of this weekend, in a not so teasing way. I am NOT riding a scooter in this class. Its hard, to clutch, roll off the throttle, shift, roll on and keep moving without going too slow. And trying to remember it all. "keep the clutch covered", "back off the throttle". Okay, okay, I'm trying to remember. When we got off the range at 11:15 it was over 100 degrees. However, by the end of tomorrow, I think I will feel much better and more confident about riding my low powered scooter, defensively anyways, in town here, so that is a good thing.
Tomorrow night my sister leaves for her hotel, then heads for home in Kenya. A very good place for her and her family. I will miss her more than I can say.
