I am glad for late night snowstorms...

Today was a wonderful day: American Lit was canceled so I got to each lunch with my buddies Steph, Chris, Jim, and Jessie. My errands didn't take nearly as long as expected, and I got to take a nap. Tutoring was wonderful as always. Then I met my buddies for Ash Wednesday mass, which was very nice. Dinner followed. And the best part of my day...12th Night. It was a magnificent date with Sarah and much needed by  the both of us. The language is beautiful, and the performance was excellent. It put me in such a great mood. And now it is snowing...

I am glad for busy but good days.

Glad Report: (It is late so there is only one, but there needed to be documentation of this event.)

I am glad that my room is nice and vacuumed...and Chris, might I add, did the vacuuming.

First glad report for the semester:

I am glad for friends who i see from morning until...well, early morning. Friends who spend so much time with me they are forced to wear lady clothing in the cold walk to the crest only to buy me dinner from Jimmy Johns (which I am also glad for). Friends who teach me interesting betting games just to win all my paper clips. Friends that speak spanish randomly and eat mucho bon bons. Friends who paint me pictures of trees. Friends who don't really care if I punch them in the mouth or other places. Friends who make CDs filled with many excellent and random songs. Friends who buy additional room-turtles. And friends who turtle-sit. Friends that pray with me. Friends that make a thirty minute homework assignment take the entire day. And friends that make all of the other escapades of the day wonderful.

Yes, I actually have friends, and they make me glad

This week was exam week, so there is not much gladness, but here is the report so far...
~ if you stay up for 36 hours you are considered mentally insane legally. (I haven't pulled an all nighter yet, but I'm getting minimal amounts of sleep, so it is fun to think that I could be boarderline insane.)

And the best gladness of entire exam week and most likely the gladest event of the semester was a wonderful song I received via email written by my good friend Chris about all the fun times our group of friends has had this semester. Here it is...

Our Song

It started with that amaizing day,
When we were free to find our way through a field of gold
And that night, when sleep was no match
For the company of newfound friends

Then there was that dark army,
Who proved in the field of life, size matters not
We played in the mud, had some fun,
And no one could tell us otherwise

I want to lay you down on a bed of roses,
And tonight I’ll sleep in a box,
Because school’s a place to learn,
But not before we fill those empty spots

And finally the silence,
That comes when we sleep
Can’t stop the good times
In the memories we keep

So some girls I know have shown me the way
They like to dance they like to play
And sing in the window to passersby
Allowing no one to just slip by

Ben was broken, but we didn’t seem to care
We just threw caution to the wind
And lost a windshield wiper
To the angry air

Though I’ve yet to drop it,
I know it’s there
I can step outside the box,
To let you all know I’ll be there

So when you’re feeling down
Just think of being free
And know that the world is yours
So embrace it for all to see

It is mostly inside jokes and awesome things we did, but hey it made my day, so you better like it. Chris is a stud!
