I just discovered that my former job placement, GDQ School in Albania, put our promotional video (done 06-07) online: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqoJaNMYszs

If you're a teacher and have an inkling that perhaps God could be leading you to investigate overseas opportunities (or if you're just curious to see ), check it out!  You can also go to their website at www.gdqschool.org and check out all the teacher/aide needs they have for 08-09.

Spring Break!

So spring break has begun for me, and today actually felt kind of like spring!  Aside from scraping my windshield this morning . . . but the rest of the day was so lovely.    This is my favorite season.

Good quote

“The whole object of travel is not to set foot on foreign land; it is at last to set foot on one's own country as a foreign land.” ~ G.K. Chesterton

I've always enjoyed Chesterton's way of explaining things concisely and pin-pointedly.

Snow Day!

First snow day of the season for me!

It's been a few years since I've had the pleasure of surprise time made free from the full schedule I have as a teacher.

And now off to a little more sleep (what's the use of a snow day if you don't sleep in? ) and then to work on graduate school . . . maybe I'll have the chance to be actually prepared for finals tomorrow morning.
