Reflective ramblings.
Courage and bravery. I think I've seen them in action, but when I see people just step out in faith to follow God I realize I've never displayed either.
Tonight I had the privilege of talking to some 20's people who are stepping out in faith. How refreshing. How bold. And they are at such peace with it, I just know it is of God. Please keep them in your prayers.
I almost came apart when the air conditioner broke. I think I'm dependent on God, but if that were put to the test and all the bank accounts and retirement accounts went to $0 I wonder how I'd react. My idea of living day-to-day is wondering what we'll make for dinner tomorrow. I have it so easy, living well in the wealthiest country on earth. I pray that God doesn't put me to the test because I may find out how weak I am.
At age 20 I couldn't hardly do my own laundry or cook a full meal. My idea of roughing it was parking in a campground with a 110-volt hook-up. And then I meet people like tonight. Wow.
Alright, that was pretty philosophical, or whatever. So I'll end with a trivia question:
Who is buried in Grant's Tomb?
Sounds simple, eh? Too simple? What could he be up to .........?
