| Just call me Rosie the Riveter. I actually put something together. Whitney got a mini-castle/play-thingy from her grandparents for her birthday about 2 months ago. I was looking for a hammer to beat the crap out of my Mac - it's tough learning new things - when I thought, "Someone really should put that castle together." That someone was supposed to be Alex, but it just never came to fruition. So I took on the task. An hour and a half later, this was born.
I am NOT a handy person and it's a miracle this looks like the picture on the box. I actually wound up with a blister on my hand from using a screwdriver. Pretty pathetic. I also didn't pay attention to the directions - but I read them - and got out a power drill to screw in those screws. That was cool. Let's just hope this thing holds up for a few month/years.
| Well here it is. My new iMac with a 24" screen. Holy crap. I needed big for my old lady eyes, but I had no idea how big I was going until I saw it. I set it up in my office and turned around to the tv and realized my computer screen was bigger than the tv. Whoa, I'm really a big nerd.
And yes Libby, those are your pictures I'm currently working on. They're up next!
| What's your favorite ... day of the week? (Feel free to add your day and why as a comment below.) Mine is Sunday. Hands down. No foolin'. I remember some gelato place was in Alton, IL (minutes from us) so yesterday we rode on over the Clark bridge in Alex's Cobra to get one. I've never had a gelato, but it sounded like a healthy, yet fancy alternative to ice cream. Well I think they up and moved. Couldn't find the place. So we went on up the Great River Road to Grafton, IL and got ice cream. A turtle sundae to be exact. I guess it was meant to be. Ah, Sundays. Here's a pic on the way back via iPhone.

| Booooudoir. These are so fun. I do these sessions sporadically throughout the year and I always seem to forget how fun they can be until I do another one. Cindy was no exception. We started out easy in the soft light.
Cindy wanted some other types of shots - more personal, model-esque ones - too. No problem, I can do that!

And more boudoir.

It was great hanging out with you Cindy! (It's funny because I always lose track of time shooting because I'm always having so much fun with my clients. I think that's a sign you love what you do.) Hope he likes 'em. :)
| The Grote Family. Ellen contacted me to take pictures of her and her parents, her 3 sisters, and her brother. But first we did pictures of her immediate family with their new addition. A-dor-a-ble.

I'd be kissin' all up in his face too - look at him!
Big "Awwwwww" factor here ...
Now on to the "Brown" family, as they called themselves. I do like when families take my clothes suggestions seriously. Lookin' good. Guess who got tired of doing posed pictures?

Alright, whole family:
Love this of Mom & Dad together.
All the siblings - credit to Amy for suggesting the bridge. I hate it when my clients are smarter than me! :)
I had the best time with the Grotes. All of them were chuck full of personality and weren't afraid to let it show. Thanks for making my job easy. Enjoy!
