| wow~ time is FLYING by here.. time for a well over-due update.. So, here is my 월드오피스텔 apt.~ The entrance opens up to the foyer
Next, the highly efficient kitchen area (notice the lack of an oven or microwave) The fridge is on the other side of the room.. haha~ it was SO ugly I wrapped it up Of course we can't forget the luxuriously spacious bathroom (and yes, I shower over the sink/toilet)
Here's the mess I've already managed to create in the few months I've been here.. It looks similar to my closet aka armoir with NO room
This is the window, which I've covered with paper for a new ambiance Right next to that is my comfy bed.. Which has recently been transformed into the new and improved silk bed!! =D 10.5 hours of my life each day are spent at POLY Check out how excited everyone looks in the staff room We try to keep busy by having some fun now and then.. To prevent the onset of depression/boredom we took pictures of each other taking pictures haha.. thank God for a good-humored staff The Kinders are adOrable.. here's pics from a recent field trip:
My first month here, I went to the Boryeong Mud Festival Sweet Hotel, eh? =)
Yeah, we didn't stay there. We were at a five-star joint right in front of this shiny new ride
I think that netting was supposed to keep the mosquitos out Check out the minbok's bathroom door~ Classy At least we had PLENTY of room.. haha
We took some pointers from the neighbors So, I wasn't planning on actually getting muddy, but I got thrown in jail for thinking that way
*eek*!! Mud!! *shrug* what can u do? At least we got to relax on the beach..
I know this guy was SWEATIN up in there That's right- I'm Asian After a long day in the mud, sleep was all I wanted For the POLY Summer Break, I went to some big lake w/ water sports
When they go out- everyone just pitches in like $150, they put it all together, and just have fun Check out our WAD of cash for 13 ppl!! The girls look SO enthusiastic about wake-boarding The nights were good (minus the constantly falling bugs of course)
The gents cooked- the ladies ate Aww, I miss Lona... We had a few more days of vaca left, so we were off to another 민박- this time in the south
This one had nicer decor than the last The beach was goood =D Check out this 아줌마~ they were all over the place covering themselves with sand.. odd
We were such tourists taking pics of everything We feasted at the same tent for EVERY meal The beach @ night was even cooler Star-gazing was sweet.. hard to do in Seoul
Check out the girl taking a picture of us in the background! oh, i love being a foreigner In the corner- That's ME!! I set off fireworks for the first time in my life! Then, Ruth came to visit!! YAY~~!!!
We met up and chatted over a few drinks Yeah.. that's 소주 in the beer mugs.. Cheers! Neither of us know who those guys are.. *shrug* It felt really good to be around ppl from home (minus that guy on the right we don't know)
Finally! Just us 3 *sigh* If only Brian were facing in the right direction >.< next time we'll get it right As Summer began to fade, ppl began to leave =( Lona's goodbye party was a good reason to have some good 닭갈비 in 신촌..
..and then hit up Mike's Cabin For 추석, I went to Beijing, China!! They were all about the upcoming Olympics~
It was even the theme for the Mid-Autumn Festival haha.. don't you just LOVE their names?? ^.^ Okay, highlights of the trip: Tian-Anmen Square
Guard tower for the Forbidden City Surrounded by a once intimidating mote- now it's pretty fountains HAHAHAHA!! Clearly this boy is not afriad man, there are LOTS of rooms in that city!
The dragon-laced bridge was for the emperor only Guess which path we took And now, for big attraction of the Forbidden City: covered in scaffolding
These little animals up top guard the buildings. The more important the bldg, the more animals there are. The emperor's room for official affairs had 11, his empress' bedroom had only 7
And to remind/warn her of a woman's place: A BIG sign above her "Do nothing, Say nothing" (that's what 'good wives' do) What a man.
The emperor chose his THOUSANDS of concubines here in the garden
One of the only places where you'll find the pheonix (female) in front of the dragon (male).. The emperor's mother RULED the land up until the last emperor
The Summer Palace was absolutely GORGEOUS!
Very serene...
We took a "dragon boat" ride
Hmm.. at some point between the Jade Factory and the Silk Factory, I must've PASSED out in the back.. haha =P Thanks, Lacey
So here it is: The Great Wall of China
A Great Wall, Indeed.

Here was our goal On our way.. It is WAY steeper than I thought it'd be..
Yep- it got serious.. the hair had to go up Almost there.. YAY!! WE MADE IT! *whew*
Lacey decided to help keep things tidy HAH! Good luck keeping out the Mongolians with this part We checked out old-school China on these~
And raced these two.. Weee~~~~
Yeah, it doesn't matter who won- as long as we all had fun =P The Ming Tombs were pretty cool
*shrug* somewhere to pray for good harvests?
The Chinese acrobat show was SWEEEEET!!
At the Pearl Factory.. anyone want some of this? It makes you look younger!
What is the name of this guy again? (The Asian Robin Hood)

I found this looking through some old pictures HAH!! I remember I used to LOVE those sateen black pants =P HAHHAHA!! MY, how things have changed..
