BACK IN NORMAN!!  It's official, I'm grown up.  Well, maybe not all the way.  But I do have a married home now, and as of today we've got cool furniture (much of which was purchased at various garage sales and even some from a hotel!) and lots of toys, including fun kitchen gadgets.  I'm really excited about having Jennie's family visit, seeing old friends, starting school, and all sorts of fun stuff :)

All the PT people need to hurry on back to Norman.  When are you guys back??  And Jessica Ames!  I can't wait to see you!! Also Jennie and I have a gift certificate to Olive Garden, and we're waiting so we can go patronage Michelle when she's working. How fun!

It's been a long day of carrying heavy furnitures upstairs, so this is all the updateration I'm doing for now.  See many of you soon!

Yay! I'm married!

The wedding was great.  It was nice to see all of our friends and family together, although for the most part Jennie and I paid attention to each other.  For those of you who missed it, the weather was perfect, the ceremony went well, the reception was a blast!

Okay I admit it, I love Disney!  The honeymoon was such a blast.  Starting right off on Sunday, even though we had been up and on planes since about 6 am, we ended up staying in the Magic Kingdom until about 2 a.m.  Thanks to a little tropical storm action, we had enough rain to cool down the weather (down to about 75 instead of 105) and keep people out of the parks without actually ruining our enjoyment of the magic.

So we're home, working to get everything ready for the big move.  Wedding present and other sundries are piled up downstairs, apartment application is in the mail.  I am so excited to be going back to Oklahoma, and especially thrilled that we've got our apartment lined up and it's in Norman!  I'm sure we would have found happiness wherever we live, but it'll be nice to be around familiar things and people :)

Anyone interested in helping move stuff in (don't worry, mostly boxes, no big furniture yet), we'll be driving in on the evening of Monday July 24.  That's so soon!  AH!

Putting in my notice at the hospital tonight!

I can barely hold my arms up to type this.  I just went rock climbing for the first time ever... it was awesome!  It's fun to get high.

On a sadder note, today I finally said goodbye to my OU email account.  More accurately, it said goodbye to me.  Even more accurately, it left me without a single word.  Ah well, I'll get an OUHSC account in just a short time.  I'm not sure how much I'll use it.  I'm going for more of a permanent email thing.  So for now, and hopefully for a long, long time, you can reach me at JVLugt@gmail.com.

I'm totally getting married next week!  Crazy!  Here's a little advice for folks.  Say you're talking to someone; someone that you know is getting married shortly. It's okay to ask them something besides "How are the wedding plans coming?" or "So are you nervous?"  See, it's not that I don't like talking about the wedding.  I'm actually very excited about it.  It's just that I also enjoy talking about other things.  In fact, I could probably talk about something that you'd actually be interested in, rather than how we made 150 nametags attached to cute flower bottle things.  Unless you're into that sort of thing, in which case I'm more than happy to share.  But I could talk about, for example, movies I've seen (Over the Hedge, X-Men 3, DaVinci Code, Scary Movie 4, M-I:3), fishing, cooking, etc.

Okay, I'm going to entertain myself with something.  If I haven't talked to you in a while, drop me a line.  Seriously, you know who you are, and I know you're reading this...and I know where you live (mwa ha ha).  Drop me a line!(that makes me want to go fishing...)

If I could be in musical theater one more time in my life, I'd like to someday play Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.  It just seems fun.

In two and a half hours, I can officially say "I'm getting married in three weeks!"  Ahh!!  Then just a trip to Disneyworld, an awkward month of living with my parents, and then moving down to Oklahoma to get back into school mode :)  Sadly, I won't see any Oklahoma friends at the wedding, but it'll be nice seeing them from time to time next year.

And now, for Niki, an old (6th grade) picture of "chubby Jason"...

Scary, eh?

So working different shifts all the time at the hospital can get a little crazy at times.  Sunday night I started working at 11 p.m., got home Monday morning at 8 a.m., stayed up until noon, then went to sleep.  Woke up Monday night at 8:30, stayed up all night, went to bed at 6:30 Tuesday morning, woke up at 2:30 in the afternoon.  I'll probably go to sleep after dinner, wake up at 10 p.m. and go to work.  Then hopefully I'll be able to stay up all day Wednesday, because I need to sleep Wednesday night so I can work at 6:30 Thursday morning.

People keep saying "Well, at least this will be good practice for med school."  I don't really get that.  Are my classes randomly going to be held at 3 a.m. some days, and at noon other days?  I guess during my residency I'll probably be on a different schedule again, but that's four years down the road.  For everyone telling me how crazy it's going to be, I'm really interested to see how it actually is.  Four more months until I'm a student again!

I bought my fishing license last weekend.  And the stupid guy at Meijer didn't believe that I was a Michigan resident, so I had to pay almost $40! ($15 for residents)  Stupid Oklahoma driving license.  Anybody know how much a fishing license is in Oklahoma?  I enjoy fishing, especially with my very own pole that I got for my birthday.  Part of my induction into the Boone family.

Okay, this post looks long enough to me.  I know how wary I get when I see an epic post in my subscriptions, so I'll just end it here.

Adios!

Hason
