Ok between this take off and stopping on an island for lunch I took a dip, one of the others on my canoe reached over the side and we flipped. It was a good thing I had bagged the lunchs in ziplock bags, and Pat and Sarah who were in another canoe came over to save us. Pat jumped right into the water and swam over and Sarah came to, they checked to make sure we were ok and I was yep just wet. Then they flipped the water out and fixed the canoe and helped us back into the canoe.

We stopped on this little island for lunch, I think the kids had more fun trying to catch crayfish, and had to be reminded to eat lunch.

  • Looking at our World in a new way

We have a exchange student for the year, and all is going well. But we have been looking at our world in a new way. The kids have taught her how to play Man-Hunt outside in the dark, and she was so excited when Pat took her outside to see the stars and the milkyway ( where she lives there is to much smog to see the stars). She enjoyed our church service and loves to eat pizza.

  • MY New Door

Yes like I said late last week, this weekend was hopping. On Sunday afternoon we installed a new back door that I hope will help us stay alot warmer.

    Sept2008 044

The old door, this door leaked so much you could see the warm air flowing out in the winter. And there would be a layer of ice on the inside of the door not good.

  • The Lawn Mower

Well I have been without my riding lawn mower for almost 2 years due to a teenage boy that lives here. I have found out that he was doing burn outs in the mower, and alot of other things that a mower is not meant to do. Well my brother came down to visit this summer and took the axle home with him, and my dad and brother took apart the trasmission and rebuit it. This weekend my dad and dear son put it back together agian, after alot of hard work Pat has said that he will never miss use the mower as the fun was not worth the work.
