| | Well, I've been putting off writing on here for so long. Every now and then I write down a topic or idea that I want to write about later, but I never got around to it. I don't think I'll write about them now, but here's a sample of what I had written down (these are only some of the topics): apathy, Blonde On Blonde, the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, college elections, the '90s, and I dream I had that I was skydiving -- but very slowly. I actually might write about some of those like the '90s and college elections at some point later. Oh and there were also the obligatory topics like 3 years in Iraq, Bush authorizing the CIA leak, Tom DeLay, and this immigration business. But I don't really feel like it tonight.
What I do want to talk about is a little short story. I don't know how many people reading this watch the Daily Show but the other day they did a little bit about Rob Corddry being a racist. And at the end of the segment, he said something about how he loved you (the audience) unless you were "one of these people" and a list scrolled on the screen of different races. Eventually it sped up so fast that you couldn't make out any of the names and it went on for awhile. Anyway, so, as curious as I am, I went back on my TiVo and went frame by frame to read what was actually on the list. There were things like "Korean (North) and Korean (South)" and other nationalities and stuff that were most likely made up. I saw Stephen Colbert on that list too. Anyway, one of the things on the list said "TiVo List Pauser," which was hilarious. Then later, it said something like "Seriously, stop pausing this." I ignored the warning and kept going and later I saw an e-mail address. So I decided to be dumb, and e-mail it and say something like "Rob Corddry hates you. It's okay. He hates me too, because I'm a Tivo List Pauser." So this morning, I got an e-mail back from a certain Mr. Corddry. It read:
Dear Altin,
Thanks for your email. Please enjoy this semi-personalized response, and an autographed picture with a special message just for you. Best, Rob
And here is the attached photo:

Pretty neat, huh?
That's all for now. I'm seriously considering moving this whole thing to blogspot or something. I've asked around, and I think that might make me seem cooler.
